D.icky Betts is an original member of the allman brothers band and an amazing guitarist. Arguably one of the best around when he was at his peak with the allmans.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
i heard he got kicked out of the allmans (via a fax from the bands lawyer) for being such a fied. hes supposed to have a pretty searious drug problem, and its a lot of whats attributed to him not being at his "peak" these days.
damn mo town is bringing the free shows. im gonna try to hit d.icky betts for sure. and im definetly coming sunday july 16th to see michael franti & spearhead for free at concert of colors

I was at the last Grateful Dead show in chicago one month before Jerry died . Many a great musician has had their problems with drugs. You will not be dissapointed with D.ickey and its free.

My Bad , lol D.icky is D.ickey Spelled his name wrong too damn!
My point aout Jerry got lost in my brutalization of his name. If I would have listened to some of the old hippies the Dead were not worth seeing because Jerry had lost it and was a little fried. I went to countless shows from the late 80's to Jerrys death and cant imagine my life without it. (never saw a bad show) I wasn't around in the 60's , And just a dirty faced kid in the 70's so maybe the dead were better then? Anyway D.ickey is no Jerry but he is worth giving a chance and a little respect . He wrote Blue Sky and Ramblin Man among other classic Allman Brothers tunes. If you dont like the Allman brothers iys probably not for you.
