I think the worls would collapse from the massive bass attacks both would put on. Maybe a fastest playing competition. Devil went down to Georgia style!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about Phil? He doesn't have the instrumental chops that Wooten does, but then again, neither does Claypool , or really any one who has ever picked up the bass. Phil, though, has one of the most creative senses of harmony that I have ever heard from any musician, and the way that his lines seem to dance around the tonic, similtaneously providing support and establishing possitble chord substitutions is quite birlliant. I'd say a jam with Phil playing the rythem and harmonic support with Victor raging like an animal could be the best thing that happend to the bass since I started playing.
Brian Bromberg is probably more virtuosic than Wooten. But of course, who the hell is Brian Bromberg?
Wooten's technique is awesome and everything, but I like Claypool better. It's in the attitude, the style. He spits on everyone's face. He slaps with his thumb pointing down like every teacher tells you not to, yet... well, he plays.
I love Phil. Try playing Uncle John's Band with just the bassline. I swear it's a funk song!
have you seen Wooten before. I love Claypool as much as the next person but Wooten is the best.
I've seen Wooten. No doubt...amazing! But technicality isn't always the most pleasing to the ear...and thats what i love about music! It's like Zappa is more technical than Hendrix...but i like Hendrix better. But i LOVE EM BOTH! Same situation. I'm not trying to be a prick....i just love les better!
"Man and his deed are two distinct things...a good deed should call forth approbation a a wicked deed disapprobation, the doer of the deed, whether good or wicked, always deserves respect or pity as the case may be. 'Hate the sin and not the sinner' is a precept which, though easy enough to understand, is rarely practicsed (sic), and that is why the poison of hatred spreads in the world." -Ghandi
