Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
There are alot of new faces here and old faces back in the swing of things, so I figured there should be a thread to introduce one another. A little info where you are from, how many times have you been to Bonnaroo and what would you recommend checking out at the Festival. If you want to add more go for it.
I am from Eastern Long Island (Riverhead to be exact.) This is going to be my 2nd Bonnaroo(and hopefully most favorite one) I highly recommend checking out Beck, Rusted Root, and Robert Randolph! ;D
Hello all! I've lived in middle Tennessee most of my life. I moved to Manchester a year before the first Bonnaroo. I've attended this shindig every year and havn't been let down yet.
In addition to the excellent selection LIGuy has recommended, I'd like to mention Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Mike Doughty, and Devotchka. I've seen Bela on many occasions and that man can pick. He'll be joined by Future Man, Jeff Coffin, and Victor Wooten on stage and together they'll blow your mind. Somehow I missed Mike Doughty the first time he came to Roo, but I it won't happen again. I'd be happy to hear him play a few Soul Coughing tunes. After listening to the MP3's on Devotchka's website, I feel compelled to see what they have to offer. Check'm out!
whats goin on....im from long island....floral park to be exact..this will be my seconds roo and also hopefulyl the best one..after all my stories from last year i finally got a pretty big crew to go down with...im pretty much looking to check out petty, radiohead, phil and friends, moe.,my morning jacket, steel pulse...and pretty much anything else that flies my way...later
I'm from Winston-Salem, NC and 2006 will be my 2nd Roo. I must say the Silent Disco was an absolute blast last year. As far as music, definitely check out Bela Fleck, Citizen Cope if he's added, Rusted Root, Jr. Gong, and Robert Randolph. See you all there and be safe.
I'm from Knoxville, TN. This will be my third Roo, and I'm more excited about this lineup than any one in the past. I love Ben Folds, so I'm really excited about seeing him live. Beck and Radiohead should both be amazing. And, I've never heard them, but I'm hearing that the Dresden Dolls put on a really interesting show. Can't wait to check that out.
names Mike, and from Newark, DE. This will be Bonnaroo number 2 for me and a few friends. Line up this year is great so far! And so excited to purchanse tix on saturday. One Step closer to June!
Hey, hey kiddies! I'm currently living in the Chicago suburbs, but will be moving out to the Denver area towards the end of March. This will be my 3rd Roo and I too am absolutely stoked about the lineup this year.
I can't stress how essential Radiohead are going to be! Also, if you haven't ever caught My Morning Jacket, make this your first year. In addition, a handful of the other acts I'm especially amped to see are: Bright Eyes, Devendra Banhart, Steve Earle, CYHSY!, Dungen, Shooter Jennings, Steel Train (were they just added?!), and Marah .
i'm originally from northeast ohio, but i'm stuck in northwest (bowling green to be exact) ohio for the time being. this will be my second roo but should be my fifth. ha! (every other year all sorts of crap has come up and caused me not to go) --- i had given up last year and a week before the fest managed to score a ticket for a little over a hundred bucks. you could sort of say that was my mini-miracle. considering the fact that radiohead, aka my favorite band of all time besides the beatles, will be there --- i am more than excited for this year's bonnarooooohoooo.
i cant wait to see andrew bird, soulive, atmosphere, nickel creek, mmw, death cab for cutie, beck and all the headliners (esp. radiohead).
i also cant wait to see what other additions superfly will be surprising me with this year
I'm from Berkeley CA and this will be my first roo and I'm really excited. I can't wait to see Matisyahu, Ricky Skaggs, The Dresden Dolls and Balkan Beat Box. And of course I can't wait to meet all the cool people and find some new band that I can't live without.
hey everybody. My name is Trey, i'm 17, last year was my first Roo, and I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which is an hour north of Nashville. This year i'm most pumped about Radiohead, they are one of my favorite bands but have never seen them live. Also MMJ, they are my favorite band and i have seen them 3 times. I'm pretty excited for Death Cab, Stephen Malkmus, Beck, Andrew Bird, Devendra, and countless others as well.

Im from Southwest Wisconsin, but am moving to Baltimore tomorrow. If I can make it this year (and I dont feel that 'not going' will be an actual option) it will be my third. I went alone and without a car in '04...then with a couple friends and a truck last year.
The best stuff from '04 for me - The Dead, Bob Dylan, Primus, Buckethead/Praxis, and Damien Rice.
'05 - Saul Williams, Allman Bros, MMJ, Lake Trout, De La Soul, J5, and Modest Mouse.
Looking forward to/recommending this year - Radiohead, Beck, Phil Lesh/Friends, Matisyahu, Ben Folds, Stephen Malkmus, Death Cab, Bright Eyes, and alot of others.
Bonnaroo is one weekend of heaven every year. It is like Xmas when I was 7.

My name is Joel. I live on the North West end of Columbus Ohio, by day I am a .com slave for a ecommerce company. I am a big record collector and go to about 1 concert a week. This will be my second Roo and I am really excited about it and plan on being prepared this year.
I cannot wait to see Stephen Malkmus, Bright Eye's, Beck and Radiohead, Martin, M, and W, RR and the Family Band. I also cannot wait to check out some bands I don't really know and live in sin for a weekend. I also hope CYHSY! is not as bad live as the recordings I have heard as I love love love that album.
Best memory from last year was the Secret Machines set.
Hey! My name is Garrett. I am an Army brat, and have been living in Fort Hood, Texas for the past three years. After I graduate from high school this May, I'll either be going to Amherst, Berklee, Tulane, Lawrence, or University of Texas-Austin. My first Roo was 04 and this will be my third Roo. I'm definitely going to see Bill Frissell, Dumpstaphunk, Matisyahu, Mike Gordon, Seu Jorge, Soulive, MMW, and Robert Randolph. I can't wait to see all of you at the meet-up this year. Peace.

Yo my name is Jeremy. I live in Frankfort, Ky. I'm really into film and music. This will be my second Roo, I also attented last years festival.
Be sure to check out the cinema tent to get cooled off from that Tennesee sun. Plus they show some good movies. The smaller shows are where its at. Peace.
Hi my name is Pat, I am from Kalamazoo, MI. This will be my third trip to Manchester and hopefully not my last.
Line-up is lookin good, I would recommend Radiohead, Bela Fleck, Buddy Guy (hope he still has it), Robert Randolph, Matisyahu, Umphreys McGee, My Morning Jacket, Gomez, Mike Doughty
Also dont mind Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's album but I dont know if they would pan out live, maybe check that one out just because...
Revolution is not something fixed in ideology, nor is it something fashioned to a particular decade. It is a perpetual process embedded in the human spirit. -Abbie Hoffman
Hi. Most people call me Charles, and I spend my time between Boone and Southern Pines, both in North Carolina. I'm an aspiring journalist, and I shill magazines for Relix sometimes.
This will be my third 'Roo. I had a hell of a time with the mud in '04, and despaired at the bad vibes at last year's 'Roo. I have high hopes for this year's festival, and am absolutely psyched to get a chance to experience Radiohead live. I never thought they'd go to the United States again, given the political climate. I'm also excited to see Phil, Bela, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis Costello, G. Love, Jerry Douglas, Rusted Root, Toubab Krewe, and Umphrey's.
I'm Kevin - getting ready for roo number 3 (went in '03 and '05). I've lived in Nashville for almost 2 yrs, before that I was in Atlanta. Most excited about seeing almost everyone, but my can't misses are RR, Rusted Root, G-Love, Blues Traveler, Atmosphere, headliners, and I pray every hour that they will add Flaming Lips.
my name is robby, and i'm originally from eastern kentucky. i currently live in columbus, oh.
i've never been to bonnaroo before. but radiohead playing for 80,000 freakers on a farm less than eight hours away is too tempting to pass up. i'm also really looking forward to beck, tom petty, ben folds, elvis, mmj, ricky skaggs...it looks really good. would it be asking too much for guns n' roses to play, or would that just be asking for trouble?

Hey, I'm John from NC. My friend Kevin and I are going to our third Roo. Can't freakin wait...
Really looking forward to moe, Rusted Root, Robert Randolph, Phil Lesh, Grace Potter, Umphreys, Bonnie Raitt, Bela Fleck, My Morning Jacket plus lots of others I haven't ever seen before. If everything follows form, every band I want to see will all play at the same time...
Hey everybody, my name is Tyson and this will be my fourth Roo... I'm from central, PA and will make the trip with some friends from Pittsburgh like I do every year. I really love Tennessee and couldn't think of a better place to spend a few days each summer. I'm making the trek out to Wakarusa too this summer so my road trip should be around 3,000+ miles, not including what I do with my time between Waka and Roo (Riverfest? maybe... i bet i just end up chilling for a few days without having to walk anywhere )
Howdy, I'm Kristin and I'm from Indianapolis. This is my 4th Bonnaroo, and I'm as psyched as ever. My group started out with 7 the first year, expanded to 15 or so the next, then to 4, and this year will be 6 ... three of us are diehards who keep the Roo love while the rest of our friends have made the Waka switch. Some bands I'm looking forward to seeing are Beck, Elvis C, Robert Randolph, G Love, MMW, Nickel Creek, and Rusted Root, plus check out some of the new-to-me bands that I'm just starting to get familiar with thanks to this opportunity.
My name's Jim and this year will be my the fifth summer I spend a weekend in Manchester. Bonnaroo has been a huge part of my life the last four years. It's always the time of my life and looking forward to it and anticipating it definitely helps me get through the doldrums sometimes.
Right now I would say I'm most excited about Radiohead, Beck, Damian Marley, Seu Jorge and Bill Frisell, but every year it seems like my favorite set ends up being something I wasn't expecting. Although I would be totally satisfied if they didn't add a single band, I would love to see more hip-hop, especially Aesop Rock or Lyrics Born (or any other acts from the Def Jux or Quannum labels). The Perceptionists were the highlight of my Roo last year and I would love to get some more late night hip-hop.

Hi, I'm Larry, a photographer out of Clarksville TN. I've been to Bonnaroo twice and hope to make this my third year. You can see my Bonnaroo photos at www.larrysafko.com I've had a blast every year at Bonnaroo and am looking forward to returning this year. The heat, the rain, the humidity, the music and most of all the people....lots and lots of strange people...I want to photograph more of them this year.
Hi I'm Brian and I'm a Rooaholic. I've been to all but the first roo. I've loved each and everyone of them. Looking foward to Dresden Dolls, Radiohead, Oysterhead Matisyahu, and Mike Doughty. Past Favorites are Polyphonic Spree, Spearhead, Umphreys, Citzen Cope and Jack Johnson.
