Anyone see his show? I thought it was amazing- he followed up Buddy Guy so well, and even though he stumbled a couple times, his lyrics were flowing so well.
I also couldn't get over the guy waving the flag FOR THE ENTIRE 90 minutes! I was pretty impressed.
Lastly, I haven't seen it anywhere on bt.etree, but does anyone know where I can find the taping of his show (audio)?

to be honest, i have never really been impressed with damian. he has some talent, but i didn't catch his set this year, and i have never been impressed by any of his studio stuff. i also believe that the main reason why he is so popular is simply because he is Bob's son
I think he can stand on his own talent as an artist and especially as a producer. People will like different people for different reason. I liked his set a lot, and thoroughly enjoyed his album. As well as the pleasant aroma of ganja floating through the crowd
I really think Damian stands on his own as well (much more than Ziggy ever did). He certainly has some of his father's voice, looks, talent and attitude, but I really think he takes it in his own direction in terms of both the style and the lyrical content of his music. Personally I wouldn't have minded at all if he played one or two Bob songs and more originals instead of what seemed like half the set. It was a blast in any case.

I saw Damien once before with Jack Johnson, and i heard him a bit at roo - and I'll be seeing him later this summer with Ben Harper... So I can't make any decisions right now about him but he sure does get around!!! ;D
Damian was definitely one of our favorites of the weekend. My wife is Hawaiian and grew up on Reggae.
I thought he was great!!! I too am very impressed with the dude that was waving the flag THE ENTIRE SET OMFG!! Dude had THE hardest job at bonnaroo. Boy, it was hot out there that day!!!
As far as who Damian is, well, I beleive he is set up to take over the legacy from his father. He has the look, the sound, the message, and the bloodline.
I belelive one of these days I will be glad I got to see him at roo, I think he is going to become so huge, it will be impossible.
I really believe rastafarians have been waiting for someone to take over where Bob left off, and I beleive Damian is that person!

The guy waving the flag gets paid to do just that! I've seen DM 3 times this year and I finally got bored. He played the EXACT same set as he did at Coachella (song by song, in the exact same order)...and that really bugged me. other than that I'm always amazed and in love with how talented his backup singers are.
