Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
When I saw them they didn't play the WAND, Bohemian Rhapsody or War Pigs. They did play the full hour, though, they got set up in time.
Anyways, I was wondering though if Glastonbury 2007 will mess up Bonnaroo 2007. Has anyone else thought of this? Glastonbury will be from June 22nd to 24th. Bonnaroo hasn't been that late I don't think, but a lot of performers will probably schedule their tours to be in Europe for the month(s) before Glastonbury, ruling out a lot of those performers for Roo.

I personally haven't seen The Who, but everyone I know that's seen them in the last couple years has had nothing but good things to say. That's good enough for me.

I personally rather see The Who instead of the dead, or tom petty, or any of those guys. Also, how bout the raconteurs for radiohead's slot. They are a pretty talented band, and i think they could come up with enough material to put on a long enough show. Anyone see them at lollapalooza, if so how were they? Dunno if they're big enough though.

What makes you guys think the Beasie Boys will be there next year? Are they planning a tour?
I would really really want Tool to be a latenight show.
I think tool would be awesome in the mars volta's spot. I actually agree that i rather see them as a late night, but they might just be too big.
How about Isis for that late-night set?
I don't think the Racanteurs are big enough to headline, but they might be if they brought the guests like at the VMAs...Lou Reed, ZZ Top etc. I think the White Stripes could headline a night.

All this pink floyd talk makes me want to see Les Claypool's Frog Brigade. I think thatd be a good latenight set, they play some sweet floyd covers, atleast i think.
The Raconteurs are good, but they are no headliner. They're a daytime slot on the mainstage or 2nd Stage, that is if they'd be there at all. I really think The Who is a distinct possibility. Saw em at the Virgin Fest and they were quite amazing. As for the Beastie Boys, I really don't think that they'd headline seeing as they don't have anything new and aren't touring or probably won't tour until their next album which will be, what, like 5 years from now. So to narrow it down on my end of things my official prediction is...... The Who Pearl Jam Widespread Panic
About all of the Who talk, Pete Townsend definitely said he hoped that they would play Glastonbury 2007, so if they do I wouldn't think of them being that high in the running for Roo 07.
Also, CCR is heavily rumored to reunite for Glasto 07 so I wouldn't put Fogerty as being too likely either.
I think, in no specific order, these three would be good headliners: Allman Brothers, SCI or Keller Williams Incident (because I think SCI deserves to headline Bonnaroo at least once, and they should definitely do it before Nershi leaves the band), and Roger Waters (whose tour was insanely good this year).
I don't think the Allman Brothers or SCI will headline, although both would make incredible late night shows. Can you imagine a late night show from the ABB on Friday and SCI Saturday? Wow. I doubt the ABB would want to be up that late though.
Roger Waters or Gilmour would be incredibly good. I think both would make great performers, but do you think they would take the Friday classic spot or Saturday headlining the whole festival?
And to why CCR would reunite for Glastonbury - because it's pretty much the only festival big enough to do it at. Recently the head organizer for Glasto mentioned that John Fogerty would be at the festival, and they said that among their headliners a band that hadn't played together in 35 years would be playing. CCR hasn't performed officially since '72. Also, if CCR reunited in America at a festival there are tons of people, myself included, who would go just to see them. It's just too good of a chance to pass up. This would happen in europe too, but from what I can tell they aren't as big there as here.
I still say that CCR would be amazing at the roo. One of the few remaining performing groups from woodstock, they helped to define the modern day festival band. If Tom Petty is good enough to headline bonnaroo, then ccr definitely would be.
Also, I don't know so much as a headliner but I'd like to see some Earth Wind and Fire at bonnaroo, or Blood Sweat and Tears.

I would put them as close to zero as possible.
I wouldn't necessarily say that....Thom did say it was one of the best shows he has ever done....so I would say that pretty much leaves that door open for the future.....maybe not this year but hopefully sometime again...
Yeah, after such a good show I wouldn't rule them out at all from returning. However, it's very, very rare for such a big band to headline such a big festival two years in a row.
I think they did Glastonbury successively or two years apart. Speaking of, though, there's a decent chance they'll be playing Glasto in which case they would almost definitely be ruled out for Roo.

I wouldnt mind seeing Morrissey in a headlining spot, although i dont know if he'd fit well enough to headline. I think thatd definatly be a sweet show though, and he did come out with a new album this year.

my ultimate dream headliner's would be night 1- pearl jam night 2- sting and stewart copland doing police songs ngiht 3- bruce sprinsgteen and the e street abnd
That would be pretty intense. I almost said something about all of those bands being around for 15+ years when I realized it was pretty much the same this past year (with two over 30!)
I think the Dave/Trey idea kinda pushed on would make for a great headlining act, kinda like a bigger Superjam. Think of some of the amazing combinations they could bring in to headline a night.
Dave Trey Medeski Haynes/Trucks
with Trey solo set feat Page Gordon Fish
Would definitely make Bonnaroo stick out pretty well.
I think the person who predicated the classic rock/modern rock/jamband trifecta is right on. The formula works.
Fri: Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, CCR/J. Fogerty, Neil Young/CSNY or Springsteen w/ the Seeger Sessions Band Sat: Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the White Stripes or Ben Harper Sun: WSP, DMB, the Dead/Phil and Friends
I wouldnt mind seeing Morrissey in a headlining spot, although i dont know if he'd fit well enough to headline. I think thatd definatly be a sweet show though, and he did come out with a new album this year.
I saw one of the four shows he played in the US this year, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I'd love to see him headline, because The Smiths are my favorite band, but it's just not gonna happen. He doesn't have enough draw in the states, and that's why he canceled his plans to do an extended US tour earlier this year. And to whoever suggested the Red Hot Chili Peppers, if they headline, I won't be attending Roo in '07. There are few bands I detest more than them.
I think I'd enjoy just about anyone on that list. I don't think Dylan is too likely to come back after not headlining and headline this time. I do really enjoy his newest CD though, so I'd love to see him there in some capacity playing those songs. Neil Young or Fogerty or Springsteen would all be great. I don't really know much about Simon though so I can't say anything one way or the other.
I'd take anyone off your Saturday headliners, but I think Pearl Jam is the only realistic one of the three that could headline the whole fest. The RHCP have headlined several American festivals so they wouldn't be that big of a deal, I don't think Roo is gonna put them at top billing. Ben Harper isn't big enough to headline any of the nights, and even if the White Stripes were touring at that time (which someone said they wouldn't be) I don't know if they could follow up Radiohead in terms of wow factor.
And for the jambands, I'd be OK with WSP or DMB, but the Dead would be much preferred. If the Dead isn't there I figure Bob Weir and Ratdog will be as they are also playing 10klf, but they aren't really a headliner. If I had my druthers I'd take the "Dave/Trey" collaboration that someone on here mentioned, Trey's getting good reviews on this tour and Dave has a whole wealth of great songs he could pull out.
I agree that PJ is pretty likely. I hate the chili peppers, so I'm hoping it's not them...but considering they've headlined other fests, I'd say there an option. One I didn't mention is REM - definitely past their prime, but probably big enough to headline (they could fall under either the Fri or Sat 'categories').
If I had my way, it'd be:
FRI: Springsteen (w/ Willie, CCR or Dylan in the #2 spot) SAT: Pearl Jam (w/ My Morning Jacket in the #2 spot) SUN: Widespread Panic (w/ Ben Harper in the #2 spot)
