Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Tell me about them They are playing next Tuesday at 7pm. It's a 2 hour drive for me each way so, I'm debating if wether I should see them or not. I've gotta be at work on Wednesday at 7am
I've recently started getting into them- I love them! I'm upset I can't see them when they come around here (they may have already played), but I'll get to see them at moe.down. Have you searched for some of their music? This is where I got their Bonnaroo set from, you should check them out! Definitely worth a listen- and the two hour drive if you ask me!
I would definitely go if I were you. Especially if you've never seen them. They are ridiculous musicians who put on a great show everynight. The only band I've ever really gone to see at all costs. A good place to start is also the Bonnaroo show from 2004. You can find it at www.archive.org/audio.
they are really good...however they usually play a long set, and if you have to be at work the next morning I would suggest calling in sick! You can find a ton of their shows at archive.org.
I'm still kicking myself for not sticking around for the entire set!!! Luckily I'll be seeing Umphrey's at moe.down and Roger Waters doing all of Dark Side, so it' sort of a consolation prize..
I can't wait for moe.down. I'm sure we'll get some awesome split squad stuff from Umphrey's and moe. After moe.down I'm gonna see Umphrey's two nights at Higher Ground in Vermont and then the first of December they are gonna do 2 nights at the Nokia Theater in NYC. So much Umphrey's coming up, can't wait.
Nokia Theater is awesome. It's really cool inside and has the best sound I've heard at any venue. The only bad thing is that they are incredibly strict about not letting people smoke. The minute a lighter even sparks they are on top of it. Not a big deal though, small hassle for an awesome venue. I saw Umphrey's there in February and they put on one of the best shows I've seen them play.
At the Cannery no less, great venue. I am thinking about catching this one!
I'm planning to be there ;D
Hey Joelman,
I was wrong about the date last night, it is Sat the 19th, not Fri the 18th. That should actually work out better being Saturday, it will give you one more day to recover from your trip.
Anyone from here going? I know we got some Nashville folks up in here.
If so, maybe Teine and I can look you guys up when we get there!
Let's have an Inforoo meet up at the Umphrey's show!
Anybody hittin up any of the North East shows that are coming up at the end of the month? I'll be at the Ithaca show and possibly the Albany show. Also doing the 2 nights in NYC but thats not until December. Anybody else coming out for these?
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Bummer, Teine and I could not make it last night.
anyone make it out? How was it?
Chris....
Was really good - pretty much what you'd expect out of Umphrey's. Seemed kind of laid back too, for their shows - a lot of instrumental stuff and not as many album cuts as I might have expected. I didn't get up near the front, but the crowd was pretty chill in the back (nothing like the dancin' crazies at 'roo).
