now that i look back at it all, i am pretty happy i grew up so poor, i can find cheap thrills in almost anything and it really taught me how to get through a lot

I can imagine so.
I was just being a spaz with my post -- hope I didn't offend!
that used to be my favorite...i am pretty sure that is why i am allergic to eggs now! if you boil the noodles to where they are only half cooked and beat egg w/ seasoning, you can fry it into a patty like thing it is delicious!
personally i have never seen the playground. im sure i could find it with little problems though.. i think the fountain is the perfect spot. its not big so a couple of inforoo hollers would surely locate the group and its impossible to miss. i have met people there every year and we use it for a if you get lost and cant find camp then be at the fountain at noon the next day to meet back up spot
I don't remember the Tiki Bar being very crowded.....for that matter the whole area from the Tiki Bar to "the other tent" was fairly wide open.
Spot on Knoxville!
The playground is huge -- from past experience, we'll need to designate a slide, a swing, or a strobe light with a police siren on it ( ) to clarify. Might I suggest the tiki bar also? It isn't all too well known and acted as a perfect meeting spot for many of the Krewe of Roo folks last year. I actually didn't make it to the official meet up, but judging by the group picture and testimonies, it was wildly successful. Also, some other great meet ups were had underneath signs for the tents. Specifying a time for each show (once the schedule is announced of course), under the sign, would probably work wonders for those looking to catch full sets with companions.
I agree with e Tiki bar, this will be my 4th Roo and every year I can remember wondering by the Tiki bar. The only time it was crowded was running for cover after the MMJ Monsoon. Anyway, think that would work.
i dont see how the 25 foot lit up mushroom with water shooting out of it isnt the perfect meeting spot. meet at the mushroom fountain is imo much better then somewhere near that cafe stage. or the sign by that one tent. or the third slide from the swingset near the teeter totter. i know that i can be at the mushroom at a certain time i any condition i might find myself in.. as far as searching around to find a certain area and then have to search that area for the group is something i probably wouldnt bother with or make my friends bother with at roo
not trying to be argumentative at all. no matter how i write it it sounds like im being a thingy. the shroom just seems so easy and obvious to anyone in centeroo. especially roo newbies

The only problem with the "25 foot lit up mushroom" is that 50,000 other folks have a similar plan. I think we're endorsing the tiki bar because it's away from the wonderful madness and would make it a bit easier to get everybody together.
And was anyone here at the Krewe meet up last year? It was sort-of near the Tiki Bar and maybe they could help shed light on how that went (I missed it due to band scheduling).

While I'm looking forward to meeting up with anyone on Thursday I'm also wondering who is coming into the area on Wednesday night? We are staying in Tullahoma and if anyone is going to be in the area that wants to drive in at the same time Thursday AM let me know.

it's coming up really soon, so we should figure out where to meet, i would really like to meet some kind folks to chill with, inforoo makes my day everyday .
So from reading the thread were meeting by the playground. Now we need to figure out a time and day. Thursday worked great last time. Do we want to try to meet daily? As for times I say we wait untill the listing comes out so we can figure out when music starts and then pick a time.
