Anyone planning on bringing some instruments from home to play while chillin at camp? It'd be awesome if we could get some folks together and just jam.

Awesome. Anyone else interested? I myself won't be playing (I am too shy, and not all that great) but I still think it'd be great to get some folks together.

I was thinking about it. I'm really not good at all, but I know enough for it to keep me happy most of the time. I don't have a case for my guitar though, so it's a tough situation. I'll be moving soon, so I suppose I'll be needing case and all... I dunno. I think listening to the campers around me would be far more enjoyable than hearing myself play a few clumsy chords.
I actually do have a bongo that my sister made for me a few years ago - I told you she was a hippie - but I don't actually know how to play. It sounds good to me when I'm drunk and banging away on it, but in reality probably sounds like a dog trying to screw a trash can.

My boyfriend is bringing his guitar. If I can afford a flute before then, I'll bring that. ...But I probably won't know how to play it well by then. Heh.

My introduction to Bonnaroo was waiting (forever) behind a VW Bus with the side door open and the guy and girl alternating between playing and driving (in small spurts) while people walked by and sang along.
I don't play a note but my buddies last year must've raided the marching band supply closet 'cause we wound up bringing down a small drumkit, 2 tumpets, a sax, a trombone, 4 guitars, and a complete harmonica set. I must say they sounded pretty good but that stuff was a real hassle to pack in my van and took up valuable space.
Most assuredly. I met some cool people while playing guitar back at the camp. A jam would be pretty sweet especially if it was like a makeshift orchestra of sorts, with lots of people playing lots of different instruments.

I will have my guitar and harmonicas with me and would love to jam with anyone who would allow me to, but alas I am really limited in my music ability. I figure what the hell, after a few beers, let's jam, it may sound ok!

I like bringing my little travel acoustic with me to events like bonnaroo, it's loud enough to sing to and small enough to sling on my back going through shakedown. Playing a little tune as you stroll is a fun way to meet people, you'll get requests all over!

Again, I'm begging that you all play at the PODS---where the art installations. It's the perfect place to have ALOT of people and have 'unofficial' concerts. I'm going to visit all the PODS to see where the music is. Lol!
