I think the Black Lips are unofficially confirmed on Jambase. They are touring with the Raconteurs and it lists Bonnaroo as a stop. The only thing is that it covers most cities but I could see roo letting them come back already. The new album is great.
EDIT: Nevermind, I just noticied that they had parenthesis around the names of bands that are going to be there and there is nothing besides Bonnaroo. Just to note they are playing with The Fiery Furnaces (confirmed) and a band named the Birds of Avalon (have no idea).
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
How about Cut Copy? They have a new album out and are already slated to play Coachella at the start of their first US tour. They'd be such a killer late night act!

I cant believe they still havent had any major additions. I'll still go, but at this point I think Rothbury and Lolla are friggen owning the Roo. Anyone else think we're in line for some major additions still? Like some second stage acts? Personally, I think they should get another big name and move JJ to a day spot. His music makes alot more sense in the sun anyway. Take a note from Langerado and get Beasties or REM. I dont mean to be so negative, but I was pretty stoked about this year till they announced Radiohead and Rage at Lolla after we got Metallica.
I don't think there will be anymore headliner quality acts announced. I'm more than content with the Roo lineup. As far as Lolla or Lango goes I would not go see Rage or the Beastie Boys or NIN if they were free shows, but thats just me.

Please no more late night acts. I've got all I can handle.
No. I dont think we'll actually get another headliner either unfortunately. Im also not a fan on NIN but Id rather see Rage or Beasties than Metallica. I just can't believe they're lagging this much on the adds. Are we gonna get a director in the cinema tent or what? Jaramusch was awesome. Lets get Richard Linklater or even Michele Gondry or something. I still think Roo is a superior fest because of how it embraces all sorts of art. I just feel like we got the B team this year. For crying out loud, a Bonnaroo hero (Luther Dickinson) started playing with The Black Crowes, they just put out an album to much acclaim, and we arent gonna get them? Thats bogus. I think everyone into the jam scene would love to see Luther play with the Crowes a little more than that VH1 Unplugged special. I love alot of the small acts this year, and I think the comedy tent is absolutely stacked with talent, I just think we're getting robbed on the big names. I think this is the first year there hasnt been any sort of Phish presence.....could we maybe get Fishman with Yonder? That would be nice. How about Robbie Robertson sitting in with Levon? Are we gonna get an artist in residence this year or will Warren just be all over the place as usual? Also..can someone please get Jack White and Warren on a stage together for christs sake?!?! What about the superjam rumor Ive been hearing of Robert Plant and Jack White? That would be earth shattering. One of the main reasons I still go to Bonnaroo after 5 years and more cash than I care to admit, is because of the cross mojonization if you will. Lets get some of that going.
i still really think the breeders are gonna be there. their tour stops on June 13th in atlanta... it's too perfect! what a missed opportunity it would be if they aren't added...
and from the looks of the website, they're still gonna announce another headliner for coachella. They've moved Jack and Portishead to second tier artists and have the saturday headlining spot open. Im so hoping that Bonnaroo keeping so quiet for so long means we're gonna get at least one stellar addition. If not...I think the Roo got owned this year.

Agreed, bring Kim Deal and the Breeders to Roo! Frank Black would be nice as well. And Stephen Malkmus. I want to see some more Alternative on the lineup.
What are the realistic chances that we will see some form of Trey Anastasio this year? It would really put the icing on the cake for this year, at least for me.
If I were to guess, I'd say it's going to be The Black Crowes, Candlebox, or Led Zeppelin. But, Led Zep is such a long shot and I really don't see it happening...
Keep on hoping though!
This year is going to be massive... Pearl Jam, Metallica, .... whoever else they add must be huge enough to make us all poop our pants. Either that or its not as big an announcement as they say.
