:: DR. JOHN TO RESURRECT THE NIGHT TRIPPER AT BONNAROO ::
We are proud to announce a very special late night performance. Dr. John will resurrect his Night Tripper persona for the first time in over three decades for his performance at Bonnaroo. Dr. John is universally celebrated as the living embodiment of the rich musical heritage exclusive to New Orleans. In the '60s, he developed the charismatic persona of Dr. John The Night Tripper. Adorned with voodoo charms and regalia, a legend was born with his breakthrough 1968 album Gris-gris, which established his unique blend of voodoo mysticism, funk, rhythm & blues, psychedelic rock, and Creole roots. The Night Tripper phase of Dr. John's career, featuring his unique fusion of Mardi Gras jubilation and spiritual mysticism marked, altered and broadened the scope of popular music forever.
This special performance will be part of a New Orleans themed event that will also include Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk which features an all-star cast of some of the city's finest musicians. The Rebirth Brass Band will also join in, lending their celebratory brass band sound to what will be an unforgettable night.

They make this big announcement about the access and info guide but it is basically the exact same thing as last years...They didn't even change the prices for the RV and companion passes from years back. They show it at $40 and $10 and it is $50 and $15...Why even bother if you can't even proof read the damn thing...Jeez...Give me something new at least, all they have changed is saying they don't have motorized wheelchairs this year.
I am excited for Dr. John though..seen him at JazzFest and he was excellent
You realize this also means that since Dumpstaphunk is playing late night, 2 of those guys are in Trey's Band, so the possibility for Oysterhead late night just shot up a bit.

Well, who ever guessed the New Orleans themed late night set, hit it dead on. Will Costello make an appearance with them? I really hope that we get the schedule/artist addition at the end of this week or early next.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

the 2006 info guide looks to be pretty much the same as last years, so it looks like the Roo hasnt changed any rules/policies that will affect the expierience.....yessssss!

Haha, another error: They say that tickets will be shipped Wednesday, June 1st but June 1st is on a Thursday...hooray for "find and replace" 2005 with 2006
