what needs to be done to ensure a glowstick war during Radioheads headlining slot? I'm willing to bet its something Thom and the boys have never even seen before on the scale of Roo and the reaction from the band would make Radioheads set at Bonnaroo the black hole in the universe we all know we are going to be lucky enough to get sucked into. I've always been a firm beleive in the notion that a few, dedicated individuals can make a change in the world, i think we need to start a thread of people dedicated to a Radiohead glowstick war, RIGHT HERE AND NOW. I'm dedicated to the cause, who wants to join me?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

National anthem?...Idioteque?..there are a few interesting possibilities. lately i have been bored/annoyed by glowstick wars...but this could put a little different spin on it. could be cool.

They say in the info guide that they discourage glowstick wars. But nowhere does it say that Glowsticks are no allowed in Centeroo.
I was going to buy some bulk sticks, but after O-Head was revealed as a daytime set, I've given up. I might buy a few and stick 'em in my pocket just in case.

I'd say National Anthem or Idioteque, whichever comes first just in case they aren't both played.
id bet they play both..it would work with either..actually a good song to do it with is Spooks (a new one). but is is short (1 minute and change)..it will be hard to sustain a long one because they dont really "Jam out" any songs for a long time...

my friends and I threw a few hundred blue ones at the west palm beach show in 2003. We waited for the climax of "Sit Down. Stand Up."--When Thom sings "The rain drops...The rain drops" 45x. It was pretty great...people wrote about it on tour reviews here
needless to say, I'm in. We should wait until the North American tour starts to pick a certain song, as they're changing their setlist again they said.(which is rather unusual for them, at least this much)
Get over it. This was cool back in 1997, when it was spontaneously erupting at Phish shows without mass planning.
it's kinda like calling a candy raver cliche.. but they love it, so let them enjoy it.... if you don't then don't worry about it...
To the above poster's point though, it's different than calling a candy raver cliche, I don't judge people for what they enjoy, but it will affect me if I'm getting pelted with glowsticks. I won't mind it if it's for one song...but if I'm constantly getting hit throughout the show, I'll find it annoying, and it will distract me from the music...I just realized that I sound like a bad time...which I am not...I just never understood the whole beachball/glowstick thing

okay thats understandable....it's a different point to not like getting pelted by a glowstick (which noone does )
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

You know, I was just about to mention this. I was actually at that exact show. I had by some marvel of nature won 2nd row tickets in a contest via the radio once I had gotten there and was no longer sitting in the lawn as originally planned... I remember turning around at one point and seeing tons of blue glowsticks being thrown all over the lawn. Looked like a blast... for a second I wanted to be up there in the middle of it all. Then I turned back around and realized I was in the 2nd row ;D I bet they would love it at the Roo as well

that's so cool that you were there! I'm glad it looked as great from the front...I wasn't sure if anyone saw it way up that far...I wonder if the band did???? anyway, it's happening again this year and If we can all agree and coordinate a certain song or time, this could be INCREDIBLE.
im gonna have to go with national anthem, or idiotech, whichever comes first. judging by the set lists of the european tour thus far, theyve been using national anthem pretty early on, or middle set, and usually using idiotech towards the last third of the set. so I think during national anthem we need to make the sky above radiohead glow green!

i agree...earlier the better...national anthem sounds good, but I still think we should wait until the north american tour starts
