I bet you that forecast will change 8 times on the weather channel. I do not even know why they try to predict beyond 5 days. I second the motion for 1 cool down shower a day.
Well, I think that Roo1 was the only year we didn't get torrential rain.
Roo3 was certainly the worst.
Expect rain, alot of it to boot, and if it doesn't come, be happy.
Over the past couple of weeks we have seen heat and sunshine everyday with the inevitable TN summer thunderstorms popping up every couple - three days. then will have a couple - three days on dry heat.
the local news calls for a chance for thunderstorms almost every day.
we haven't seen any significant rain since Thursday night (25th) when we had some pretty heavy downpours, however, the month of April seemed like it rained all month!
My wife an dI have both been saying for about a month now:
Please just let us have ONE Bonnaroo (this one) where the weather cooperates!
You know, high of 85, cloudy, with a light breeze and NO RAIN!!!!
I guess I can keep dreaming, I have lived here almost all my life and that has never happened!
Oh well, let's go cook! Do you want the rare or well done?
It's raining it's ass off in Memphis right now. This usually means it will start raining in Nashville about 2 or 3 hours from now. Bonnaroo is gettin' a wet beatin' here soon.

Yeah daily showers are normal and tolerable, but too much rain is going to equal a mudbath... Im fine with mud and all but i'd much rather have average daily thundershowers than constant rain that soaks the ground and turns centeroo into a mud pit...
Count me among those who can tolerate a couple of quick, cooling, showers during the day -- I just don't want anything soaking and would rather not have to deal with the mud again. Cliche opinion? Yes, yes it is...but it's really the ideal situation.
The key really is if it rains much leading up to Roo. If the ground is already saturated and it rains it will make a big mess. If it is dry leading up to Roo the rain wil fel great plus soak right into the ground and not make alot of mud........................................here is to wishful thinking!!!

I've not had the privledge of attending a festival where it didn't rain and I didn't get wet. At Bethel NY, a few years ago I had my car towed out of the mud by a tractor. Sunny skies would be nice, with a cooling shower here and there.
Everytime I see this thread get bumped I think of Built to Spill's "The Weather"
Do you want it to be outside, in the cool night, where the stars gravitate toward you? Do you want it to be outside, in the cool night, where the fog wraps itself around you? Do you want it to be outside, in the sunshine, where the clouds take their places for you? And the wind and snow, and the rain that blows; none of those would matter much without you. As long as its talking with you, talk of the weather will do. Do you want it to be outside, in the cool night where the stars gravitate toward you? Do you want it to be outside, in the sunshine where the song keeps itself inside you? And the wind and snow, and the rain that blows; none of those would matter much without you. Nobody's hoping for better days; Noone knows what to do. You're okay in your secret place, Noone bothering you. It might save time if I meet you there, but I don't care, I'd rather wait for you. When noone's home and the weather's fine, I'd rather wait for you When noone's home and the weather's fine, I'd rather wait for you.
