Piano tuner and technician, working both for a company and for myself. Even though I don't see it as my career, it's one of the greatest jobs I can imagine: very good pay, make your own hours, low stress environment, friendly people, etc. Now that I'm out of school I'm also working on gettining into teaching private music lessons, in drums/percussion and/or music theory.
... am I the only person here that has a job relating to music??

my uncle is a piano tuner (plays drums, too). my grandfather was a jazz musician, and one of my great-great grandmothers was a piano-playing child prodigy (beethoven at like 5 or 6) - she later played the piano in the silent theatre to earn a living. that's all on my dad's side of the family.
I am the Securitization Operations Manager for a national bank. Basically, I manage loan protfolios that are sold to 3rd party investors in regards to colletions, foreclosures, bankruptcies and charge-offs. In short, I surf the net all day. ;D

I am a Dialer Admin. for the same national bank as Volsfan. I manage the system that calls, records , logs collection calls to our customers. Yes, it's the same kind of system that calls YOU and puts you on hold til the cheesy salesman gets on the line. BUT, I can sleep at night cause we are not selling anything we are collecting bad debt. Lots of fun......
I work at a mom & pop print shop in Austin. We're called D&J and pretty much do a little bit of everything (highway plans, digital scans, color posters, vellums for concert posters, etc). There's no future in it, but it has health benefits, flexible hours, about a week of paid vacaction and 2 weeks of sick leave a year. And sometimes customers tip us with some pretty interesting items...

I work in retail... some of you here in the south might still have a Roses in town, that's where I work. The pay sucks, but it's good people, easy work and 1 week's vacation.
We're getting ready for inventory on the 26th, so I'm scheduled for 65 hours next week... grueling, but that's gonna be one fat paycheck!
Used to be a criminal defense paralegal - did that for 16 years - but 6 months agao - went to work for the feds - at the VA as a program support assistant - basically an administrative assistant - or glorified secretary - can't complain tho - steady paycheck, good benefits, time off - and every holiday that you can think of
