hello everybody - i have been lurking for awhile waiting to see an answer but here it goes.
any gay/bi showing at roo? im not expecting people to rally or launch a 'convert the straighties' parade or anything, just thought it would be cool to meet up with some like-minded peeps during the concert.
im 24, bi guy thinking i cant be the only one going to this show.
if i am, cool. if not, lets set up a time for some of us to get together and have a beer at some point.
I remember seeing another thread about this somewhere..have you looked through the off-topic boards? There's definitely an existing discussion about this. Sorry I can't be of more help!

There's actually a thread around here where this got brought up. There are a few (me not one of them, though.) I think it might be in the Off Topic: "Why does America hate gay people" thread, but i'm not sure. I'd check, but i'm done work so now i get to go home! Three more work days!
if it wasnt a joke, then you were being a judgemental prick. this also makes you a hypocrite, because im willing to bet you love to preach against racism and discrimination when it involves you and yours.

i dont think he meant it in a discriminatory way. i have seen his other posts. there has been a lot of joking about that dumb email. i guess i should let him speak for himself but im sure he didnt mean to offend. i thought it was kinda funny and im no bigot.
check out the "not the e-mail i wanted to see thread". might be right up your alley-------
I don't think he was serious and - there has been alot of joking about that email - I think he is just kidding around and did not meant to touch on what apparently is a sensitive subject for you.
Good vibes - Bonnaroo is almost here and we are all excited - party on!!!

it's all good. as stated, its all knee-jerk for me. i am so used to being surrounded by ignorant pricks that i asusme everyone out there plays the same game.
hence me paying 200 bucks to GTF away from it all!!!!
well - I doubt that you are gonna run into a bunch of prejudice at Bonnaroo - from what I understand it will be us and about 80,000 of our closest friends!! Boooonnnaaaarooooooooo!
uh no, it wasn't a joke---and i don't think i was being judgemental(sorry for offending) i just assumed the guy was gay and looking to meet friends----it's not my thing , but i thought from your post you wanted to meet some guys---i have absolutely no problem with gays--i love hanging with my gay friends because they think its funny how unjudgemental i am---they all tease like they're going to convert me and i think it's funny too--also they tend to hang around with some hot chicks so everybody's happy---once again sorry if you took this the wrong way( although i have no idea how) --if i see ya we can drinks some beers and smoke out---peace my friend
oh and to answer your question. im sure there are lots of other gay people at roo. i have met people that laughed when i told them i went to roo. they thought it was a lesbian festival. i have never seen any type of an organized gay presence at roo. everyones just people at roo.
uhhh ok.... i stand corrected. he is just retarded.
no offense and not being judgemental. but if you seriously thought the guy looking to have a little get together for drinks would be interested in the circle jerk then you are whatever he wants to call ya

not sure if you have a myspace account but i saw this posted in the bonnaroo group a while ago tinyurl.com/h4nms
well, i was kicked in the head by a mule as a small child(my big brother told me it was a cow and dared me to milk it)---but perhaps my ignorance is not knowing what a circle jerk is( i assumed,i know i shouldn't assume, it was a gay thing, hence, i referred misc because he wanted to hang out with 'like-minded people'. once again to any and all i may or may not have offended please accept my humble apologies-----(i guess i'm gonna have to get a couple more cases of beer to show my sincerity)---peace,peace,peace

ok, since this is a topic of concern for a lot of people, maybe younger gay, lesbian, bisexual people, i have decided to be a bonnaroo tolerance ambassador. i live in south carolina, one of the most ignorant states in the union, but i've come to realize that people are a lot more accepting and COOL when they get to know you and realize gay people are... get this... just regular people. (someone go tell BUsh) everyone that knows me is generally ok with it. i don't just walk up and say, hello, i'm gay, but they find out through conversation or by meeting my girlfriend. if there is anyone that lives in an intolerant community or has never met a homosexual in 'real' life, please feel free to come by our campsite and have a beer, smoke, or water and lets be friends! i will have to make a good flag to mark my campsite. or maybe i will make a t-shirt that says something campy like 'we're here, we're queer, let's boogie'!!
i know most of you guys here are REALLY cool already, so commence the jiggling!

If I smoke out of the same piece as you, will I catch gay?
