Except XM is the 'real' satellite radio...unless you are a terminal 13 year old and just have to have your Howard Stern...
I just cancelled XM... they took away Music Lab. Prog and Jambands, with no reasonable substitute. They really didn't want to let me cancel. I think the MP3 players are killing radio in general. Lets let it die.

Music Lab is still available on the internet... but I was very pissed nonetheless when I was flipping through stations in my car and it skipped my beloved channel 51...
don't plan on waitin in line too much.. wednesday night arrival is the best!
oh and sirius is so much better.. "ask not what Jam_On can do for you, but what you can do for Jam_On"! I'd pay the 12.95 a month just for Jam_On. and I've heard the same, sirius is better music, xm is better sports

Each year the wait in line is not bad at all. You'll notice it goes by quite fast. Pretty much everyone just opens their van doors and goes outside to chill, and then hops back on to hitch a ride when the line moves. Last couple of years we just brought a football out and threw it around.
Just don't be stupid and start the party before you get into Bonnaroo. Wait the extra hour or so, it's worth it.
Yeah I guess its a good time to meet your neighbors, since the people your in line next to are probably the people you'll be campin close to. Atleast thats what it sounds like, this is my 1st Roo so I'm just speculating. ROOOO is almost here!
Well I was really just messing with the dude, I only have XM so I cant compare.
I mainly listen to Deep Tracks which plays a bunch of stuff I never heard before, so its new to me.
I just got done buying a Sony CDX car radio with CD which plays CD-RW and MP3, nice combo there, and it has front aux input for my Nomad Zen Xtra (all 40 gigs of it), and it lets me wire in my XM and I can control the XM right through the radio controls, including presets, including category search...I had never installed a car radio before, and it was very challenging, especially threading the XM antenna down from the roof in a professional looking way. Got that done too, found a way in through the passenger door and it worked great. Today I get to finish the mounting part, but that should be smooth compared to the hard figgerin I had to do yesterday.
So anyway, what we will be doing while sitting in traffic is ya know getting all crazy with our new radio lol
60gb ipod video will keep the car entertained although im debating whether to take it or not, if i leave it in the car it might melt or something and im not gonna hike it in to camp only and leave it in the tent

when you enter gates, there are like 10 check in lanes, so all cars in line get distributed to help east congestion. unless you specifically request it, you will most likely not camp next to the people you are in line with.
Just a few comments on some of the things in this thread. First off, I enjoy Sirus much better. As people do say, the music is better. I wouildn't say the sports are worse though. You get NFL, SEC football, etc on Sirus. You get MLB on XM. So, I guess it is all what you like. As for the lines, I have had 2 experiences. In 04, waited about 2 hours on the interstate (this was late Thursday night) Friends that left earlier than us waited aroun 10hours. Last year, went around noon on Thursday. Didn't wait at all did we hit the check-in lines. Not too bad.
