She lost everything she owned in Kali the other day but it was a sign for her to get off her butt and go to here real home in Tennessee.... She can't stop crying every time I try to talk with her ... so sad cr****
Oh, I remember you mentioning that now. I'm sorry. That is absolutely awful. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to be in her position.

She always said I was her "Celluloid Hero" and I have to live up to that and be strong for her even if she won't admit it right now...cr****
Biopsy scheduled for Tuesday in part of me that hasn't already had quacking cancer! So over this shiz.
Oh and LD, we've got an extra bedroom in Coastal NC so let us know when you're coming.
Good vibes your way, katbur.
I wish the medical community would give up their 82 billion in profits they get from "treating" CA and actually cure the shiz/pinpoint the immuno-dysfunction or whatever reason some people get it over and over in different parts of their bodies and others of us never get it.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Welp. Just discharged from a hospital. Not sure if I'm going to get to go to Forecastle, let alone DJ Sat. night.
Sending healing thoughts!
Not as bad as first thought. I thought it was a broken hand but it doesn't seem that way. Going back for an x-ray today. Last night they basically have me Tylenol and said come back if the swelling gets worse..one thing I miss about living in a small city is having a doctor that you know.

I've literally never had a situation like that. Military brat, then military myself, then HMO gov't . I guess that's why the HMO'S don't really faze me one way or the other....cr****
Very strong possibility I am moving to Alaska. Freakin' Alaska. I'm from Tennessee, lived in the South my entire life. No marketable skills to get a job up there, never drove on anything more than a patch of ice, and so help me if I become accustomed to the weather--I will swelter at 'Roo next year. Plus this move puts me in a financial bind, so no FFF or Music Midtown this year. Right now all I can do is hope this doesn't get pushed through; if it does, the next few months are going to be full of GRRRRRR.

wow! that's a big move. after watching the movie "Insomnia", I have a whole new level of respect for people who live there.

Look at it from a positive side! Alaska is an amazing state. One of the most beautiful places in the entire world. Keep your head up and think of all the good that life has to offer.
Almost two months and multiple seizures and MRIs, blood tests and doctors appointments, and one brain biopsy later, and all we know is my dad has something in his head that is NOT benign but they're still leaving it there.
Effing doctors. And effing tumors.
I just want an answer. Good or bad. Just one answer from one doctor. That's all I ask.

Too much? Apparently.
Sorry about your dad. Brain surgery is highly risky so I'm sure that the doctors are carefully monitoring what is in his brain. They don't want to operate without knowing what is wrong and where it is. I can understand how it can be frustrating but the doctors do know best in the end.
Of course it starts pouring 3 minutes before I leave the office for the day.
Thats what you get for getting to leave work at 2pm!
1) I posted that at 2:26pm. Math must not be your strong suit. 2) I got up at 4:45am this morning after going to bed past midnight. You're welcome to try that on for size any time you like, big'un.

Yeah, you'll need all that rest to work while I am sitting on my butt at home.
Officially freaking out about obtaining full time employment upon graduation. Oyyyyyyy.
Employment is a totally different monster then finding employment in the field you just spent years studying for. Its sad but some of my friends have full time jobs for the past 3 years after graduating in jobs that dont care if you have a degree. Just a sign of the times. When a fraction of America was going to college yea it was worth something to have a BA. Now that its basically demanded you go to college, they seem to force you to go to grad school as a sign of "higher education". Plus the fact that having a degree in turn means they will have to pay you more, companies would rather take a young person looking for employement and start them with a low salary and build them up within the company in their own image therefore in turn making a degree/experience a red flag instead of a basis of hiring. Just keep goals in mind and even if you dont get into your career right off the bat keep looking for that internship or that low level job with oppertunities to rise. Its easy to get sucked into a basic job (yea I did) and lose track of all those goals you set during your studies. Congrats on making it to graduation, but life is right around the corner.
PS. Start saving for those loan payments. I know alot of people who got caught off guard like they didnt just borrow thousands of dollars from the government. I took off a semester and relinquished my grace period so they came knocking fast. Think like 6 months after graduation.
