So some of you might have seen this already, but I decided to go back to school and Tuesday night was my first day of classes in over six years.
So far the idea has been overwhelmingly positive and people are supportive of my efforts - which is really nice. There's just however two people who have spoken heavily against the idea, or at least like to call me a failure in progress or in waiting. I'd like to slap them both, but sadly I have to live with them at the present.
I wish I could give them a one way ticket to Phoenix, and hope they never find their way back.

Just because you live with them doesn't mean you can't ignore them. This should make you work even harder, just to prove them wrong.
(a side note to my folks in heaven, thanks for being so supportive.)

Why Phoenix?
It's far enough away, plenty warm, and not somewhere I'd really want to go to.

I think LD just misheard a line in all the mobster movies/shows he's ever watched. They were saying "sleep with the fishes," LD, not "sleeping in Phoenix."

At work corporate sends email surveys out to clients every 7 months or so when they get service. Our bonus is reflected upon where we end at the month on a 100% scale. In order to insure we dont get blind sided by a angry client, we do a phone survey a few days before the email goes out. The worst thing in the world is when someone gives us a 8-10 on a phone survey but when 20 questions in an email come along we get bombed with 50%s. Great way to start off the month...

Don't forget all the gangsta rap. East coast, west coast. Don't matter.
I'm at your door, your eyes are like 'why are you here'. Judging by the steel I got something to do here. Give up the money or the angel cries two tears. Front of the crib sounding like Chinese New Year...
Oh yeah, I knew that all from memory. No copy and paste from some lyrics site.
Bonus points to those who can name what that's from.
LD'z.. Yo Mother Quacker.. youz keep up with the schoolz dudez. Youz be bright in the light, yule role with the dough, if youz keeps your name in the game, Nook on the books, ignore da' cranked up hooks, believes in yo self trust yo other mo and your ho (sorry heather - it rhymed at the time ) Getz that tech degreez and set yo self free'z.
(SO so ashamed of that old lady lame ( | ) attempt however there are a few P-ing there pants laughing right now at my humiliating attempt ( i hope), and LD ( i hope) understands that our love is so much that I tried. Its like voluntary dog shaming kinda Love. )

"to invent your life's own meaning is not easy but it is still allowed and I think you will be happier for the trouble."

My parents both tried to discourage me from switching majors to Architecture a few years ago. My Mom went so far as to tell me she thought I would fail and end up dropping out if I switched and that I was wasting time and money.
I used to have some really bad migraines a couple times a month and experienced what I now realize were mild panic attacks. I haven't had a single one of either since I made the switch over 2 years ago. I'm stressed with school but it's a good stress not a "what the fuck am I doing with my life stress".
Moral of the story: you know what is best for you and you need to do it no matter what anyone says.
can I just say, I am soooooooooo over homework right now??? just finished an intense power point presentation (everything we write has to have at least five peer-reviewed articles as references, including in-text APA citations throughout), two quizzes, and a short essay. my brain hurts.
on the plus side, I am glad to be going through this program with an awesome group of classmates, and I don't know if any of us would make it without such a good support system. I have made some great friends through this process, and when I had a mini crisis earlier tonight involving a textbook, I had multiple people willing to take pictures of 20 pages of text and send them to me immediately after they got home from a 12-hr shift, so that was pretty nice.
on the minus side, I have to be in class for 8 hours tomorrow. oh well, comme ci, comme ca.
I do not have my new car today I was literally behind the wheel getting ready to drive it away when they noticed at the last possible second it was the wrong car. I felt so punk'd. I go back on my lunch hour to get it the correct one. Grrrrr.

Thanks for reminding me of why I don't miss school.

Boo! Those turkeys.
How does that even happen? Same model with different features?

Yeah the one I almost drove away with had a few extras. AND I left my house keys in that car's cup holder and didn't realize it until I got home to a locked door. Ugh.
