Trying to figure out if I'm being difficult, or if my coworker is being difficult. Here's the email conversation:
Her: Please order me the small note pads with your next order. thanks Me: The multi-colored ones or just yellow? Her: Multicolor please, thanks Me: I’m not finding the multicolor packs. Is there a brand and product number on the one you have? I can find it that way. Thanks Her: How about anything similar- white will be fine.. I like the size and bonding of the multicolor ones.. but anything will do Me: If you can tell me the brand at least, I can find it. I don’t have it in my recently ordered because it was a while ago that they were ordered. It’s hard to reorder things based off a description alone. Her: As soon as I get a chance I will look it up for you. Me: K. I thought you wanted something specific, so was trying to find it for you. Hard to do without the order number. I assumed you had the notepad near you, so could just let me know the brand. I’ve found multiple on the site and will save something in case you can’t get to it today. I’m sure you’re probably swamped.
I'm thoroughly annoyed with her. Then again, I tend to get annoyed at her A LOT. Like the other day when she called me from her desk (near the copy room) to tell me the copier was out of paper and I could transfer the phones to her so I could refill it. I'm the receptionist. I fill the paper in the morning, then everyone in the office (except her) refills it as it gets low throughout the day. Cause the paper is right next to the copier. And I'm on the opposite side of the building. However, apparently, it would be easier in her mind to call me, have me transfer the phones to her, then go refill the paper instead of her doing it herself.
Ugh, I hate that. When I'm doubling a recipe I obsessively write out the new amounts so I don't do that again.
You all probably know this already, but since I almost always have to double (at least) recipes in our house, I try to use Allrecipes.com. You can insert any amount of servings you want to make and it will adjust the ingredient amounts.
Yeah, I tend to write out recipes by hand in a notebook so that they are all in one place (doesn't work, by the way. I have three such notebooks and only know where two of those are). I had halved this one from the original recipe when I wrote it down, so I was actually trying to make the full batch this time. Not a huge deal I guess. I just hate that I wasted two big bars of good chocolate.

My admin is not a role model for general purposes, but he does have sh*t down pretty well with requisitions which is his sideline job for the entire office (each section's admin has one). He fills the office supply closet with standard stuff (for this example, he stocks two sizes of yellow post-its by default). If you need/want anything aside from that, he will give you the catalog he orders from, and it is up to you to identify what and how much you need. After that, you return it to him, and he will deliver it to you whenever it comes in. It works well because he doesn't waste time scouring through a catalog looking for stuff and there are zero errors in communication.

Thanks to Dave Maynar, I can no longer watch any film with Amy Madigan without picturing her as Guy Pierce in drag. This kinda adds a whole new strange element to Field of Dreams.

Man, I dare anyone to look at those two and not see a similarity.

I HATE tickbastard. And I don't through that word out lightly. Seriously it's a quacking monopoly and I thought there were laws about monopolies (Comcast cable fits the bill as well but that's another GRRRRRRR.) Every big show that comes to Atlanta or a near'ish area (120 mile radius) I make it a point to buy the ticket from the box office of the venue. Yeah I know I'm spending more money on gas than what their fees would be but F*CK ticketmaster.
EDIT: Edited to reflect the truth better. I've actually driven to Birmingham and Chattanooga to buy tickets. Granted it's more of an excuse to get out of town for a day but the genesis is my hatred of ticketfucker.
I only recently learned about the fee-free box office windows. Looking at getting two tickets for Cut Copy when they come around this way - going to the box office saves me like 15-20 bucks on a pair of tickets.
The only bad part is, I live out in a fairly rural area. It makes little sense to drive 65 miles to Boston to buy a ticket, (a) unless you're either already there for something else or (b) hoping it doesn't sell out and buy the ticket the day of the show. Just driving there and back would cost the same if not higher than Ticketbastard's fees.

Yeah man I feel you. My avoidance of ticketbastard's fees is just my way of shaking my tiny fist of rage at them. Realistically it has zero effect on their business model.
On an unrelated GRRRR my significant "it's complicated" just dumped the minced shallots I'd set aside for a lemon wine sauce into her weird green beans. Damnit! That was the last shallot in the house and I was really looking forward to pouring that sauce over my tilapia. I've got a leek but it's just probably not going to be the same.

Is that for KoL and Gary Clark Jr.? I'm buying my CT tickets tomorrow for the pre-sale. I would've gone to the casino box office to save on fees but they only let you use player club points to buy tickets from the box office the first day they're on sale and I don't have enough. Looks like I'm spending $190 for 2 floor :/

Yeah, it's KoL and Gary Clark Jr. I'm not even sure if I'd want to spend so much to see that. But I generally don't like paying over $50 for a non-festival ticket.
my car battery is dead. I'm off work today and just hanging at home with my little guy, so I don't have anywhere I have to be, but it's still annoying as hell to not be able to leave the house all day. I was so proud of myself for getting out early to run errands, had my son in his car seat and tried to start the car... nothing. side note: I keep the interior lights disabled in my car specifically to prevent this type of situation, but when I got in my car this morning the switch was flipped up so they obviously were all on at one point last night. so weird.
That would require a smart phone that I have thus been too cheap to get but this may be the last straw!

WTF? Ya'll still can access web sites and download to your work puters?? Grr
Healthcare IT. We can pretty much only access local weather reports on the webz, on a good day. Takes an act of god to get admin (download rights). Can not transfer anything from the work 'puter. Nothing can be emailed, disk drive, flash.. nothing. Hipaa laws/fines/termination.

Babies. LOL.
Thats how our "work" desktops are setup. But we all also carry laptops that we use for everything else.
My exhusband is on a mission to try and manipulate me this week. He knows...he KNOWS about my anxiety and how to push my buttons and he hit it just right today.

GRRRRRRR ticketmaster just GRRRRRRR!!! I've had it with the FEES! I'm about to drive ~60 miles to the box office just so they do not get any more of my money! I hate watching the total climb with each screen I get through!!
