missing a lot of bands and not lasting very late into the night. I wish I could have seen String Cheese, Govt Mule, Bob Weir and Ratdog, Richard Thompson and a bunch others.
gas prices.....That has to be my biggest disappointment of 07.. Although i had a few not so good moments , the price of gas and related products .(oil, kero, heating oils and such) really piss's me off ...

Only dissapointment was missing Mute Math waiting for the Art of Such N Such flaming burlesque show. None other than that, including the Flaming Lips (one of the highlights of the weekend IMO) and the Police (hard to be disappointed when you go in with no expectations). Best year yet.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
My ex regularly disappoints me when it comes to the kids but that is a 5 year thing now - I should have learned not to expect anything
Thats Sad....
Gas prices.....I am working with our county government Senior Services to help offset the energy bills for our elderly on fixed incomes. We raise money through donations and then give to the organization. Some of the elderly are freezing in their homes because of the cost of energy.
We did see Mute Math and would welcome them back again..
The Police--I'm a huge fan and the let-down was nearly as huge. The heat and dust--I expected heat, but was also expecting some rain every now and then.

Don't get me wrong - in general - he is a good dad and a financiallyr esponsible dad as well - but he always seems to disappoint them just when they really need him to put in an appearance or say the right thing.
Most of my dissapointments were things that I missed, mostly because of work. but, if I didn't work, I woulndn't have the money for all of the stuff that I do get to do. As for Roo, I had a great time. There was only one dissapointment, and you know who you are.

i still regret missing the flaming lips at bonnaroo 07, mostly the landing of the ufo, hands down that had to be the best thing to witness in the history of bonnaroo
but i also regret it because i passed on them at acl 06 when i chose to see ben harper over them, so i've had 2 oppurtunities to see them, and i've passed on both, i'm a dumbass, and i've still never seen them
saturday's conflicts really pissed me off because i love all of these bands: ben harper/keller/spoon, xavier rudd/damien rice/hold steady, i made most of harper but missed dazed and confused cause i went to check out keller, which i like keller a lot more when he's solo, and i saw the first 2 songs of xavier and went to damien rice, but with no lisa they're just not as good, and the energy during a hold steady show would've made that the best show out of those 3
i also missed the last of the decemberists to get to wilco on time, and i also missed nmas and ornetter coleman
i didn't like the conflict between john butler/pete yorn although that jbt show was one of the best of the weekend, david bromberg/bob weir also kinda sucked
i also would've liked to have seen more than 2 songs of the white stripes, but i was just so tired by this time and i thought i was gonna die
and in the 2 times i've been to bonnaroo i've never made it inside the comedy tent, and i also didn't get into jazz tent this year, i'm sorry but i just can't wait 1-2 hours in line, they really need to find a way to make the comedy and jazz tents as big as the other tents, but i understand why the jazz tent should be set up the way it is: intimate setting, small jazz club-like, maybe they could make that bigger

being too hot to enjoy the white stripes........ i know "hate" isn't in the bonnaroo vocabulary, but those mid afternoon shows at the which stage are brutal and i hate it. it was more of an endurance challenge than a concert for me, kind of a bummer. there's no escaping that heat either, even if you do have personal shade, it seems like it comes in from everywhere...

mist tent. Over to the right of the stage makes it bearable.

i racked up 4 mute math shows last year and was never disappointed. they're one of the most talented energetic bands on the scene today. hope they come back to roo.
that said, my disappointments were: 1. leaving sts9's great show to see shadow's shite sete 2. missing the very end of panic because we were tired 3. leaving FLips early due to a panic attack
My Roo disappointment was all dust related. I got a BAD cough Sat. night and had to leave FLips early and was coughing my lungs out all through JBT and the Stripes. Ending up leaving Roo after the Stripes to get some relief.

i had never heard a single song, i don't think, by the Flaming Lips prior to seeing their show at Roo this year. It was probably the best show i've seen at roo ever, and i've been 2 years and seen many shows. My disappointments this year are fewer than usual, i'd have to say. The disappointement of leaving behind many good friends in wisconsin was sort of evened out by all the friends in georgia happy to see me again and more than evened out by the new love of my life. Not staying to hear "burn one down" at harper was kind of a bummer... having to go to bed so early most nights cuz i work 7-3....
Got Tix to Bonnaroo. Had to sell them due to extenuating circumstances. Got Tix to Pitchfork. Had to sell them due to extenuating circumstances. Got Tix to ACL. Had to sell them due to extenuating circumstances (although considering the Stripes pulled out, not a bad thing). Roommate Went Crazy. Had to kick him out of the house. Mom got breast cancer.
All those things pale in comparison to having my mom beat breast cancer and getting to see her with hair over Christmas. The year was a blessed one considering everything. And while things sucked for me concert wise this year, I went to my first film festival, and got into Butt-Numb-A-Thon 9 on a lottery ticket. It was probably the best year for moviegoing that I've had. By a mile.

1) Police - sure it was fun to be close and watch Copeland, but overall Sting wasn't great, they played al hits and the show was way too short. To me the Police isn't what rock music is about.
2) The sun - getting me up at 7am each morning hurt. In 08' I'll have either an RV or a couple shade tents for sure. Getting up at 7am made is hard to stay up for the late nights (still managed though).
3) Living in Toronto - what a shitty city. When will Bonnaroo ever become its own state? : 0
I was arrested twice. Both very unfortunate (not to mention victimless) circumstances (1. I was stopped at a roadblock. I had had one beer 30 minutes earlier and being underage, they took me to jail. 2. I was rolled up on while I was at a park and it was barely dark so they gave me a park after dark ticket. They brought the dogs and found my corn and took me to jail.). The situation sucked even more because these two events happened 5 months apart from each other but the court dates were scheduled within a week of each other so I am in the process of dealing with two legal situations and its no fun at all. I know that I was doing illegal things but it still blows. Ive most definitely learned my lesson too.

well my first disappointment is pertaining to all the people who regret seeing the flaming lips instead of gov't mule... were we at the same lips show? because the one I saw was OUT OF THIS WORLD (no pun intended, okay, well maybe)
my second disappointment was hearing that the police were even headlining. yuck. honestly, who cares about the police reunion?
and my third disappointment was not being able to escape the police. I could hear them from my tent...at least they cut their set short.

Well Gov't Mule was just life changing. Thats all I can really say about that. I mean they did have franti, jpj, bobby, medeski, and a few others on stage. Not to mention on the banks of the deep end, thorozine shuffle, sugaree, SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU, no quarter, 32/30, and soulshine. All highlights for me!

mule is awesome, no doubt....I guess I was just so psyched to see the lips because I have never seen them before and of course my mind was altered. Saturday night @ roo '07 was like the best day of my life so far...and I owe it all to wayne and his magical musicians!
