WHO-DEY!! oh wait, i thought this was the 17 years without a playoff win thread. effin bengals. sure glad i bought those season tix. i was pulling for indy but peyton needed the Heimlich in the 4th quarter, the O line got gassed like a death row inmate in texas and the defense drank some warm milk and took a nap and let the back-up QB for the chargers win the game. that being said, i refuse to sell my soul to the devil like some team (singular). i'm not naming names but their initials are THE PATRIOTS! yes the team is historical but their coach is a total azzhole. in no way do i respect him or the way he coaches. unfortunately, the chargers will not beat them and i sure as sh!t won't root for the pats. i usually stick to the afc division but this year its all nfc and the packers. i would absolutely LOVE to see bret beat mr. gq magazine and ride off into the sunset john elway style. of course packers have to beat the giants first!
saints fans say "who-dat" i think. being a bengals fan since my 1st game in 5th grade, (beating the vikings 24-17) and being a season ticket holder, i should be able to bust some bengal balls. in no way was i disrespecting the saints or their fans. i was pulling for them at the end of the season.

well my mom was from cincy, dad from pit. how about that? mom wasnt really into football though...but i got the steeler fever young. I'm glad your not a fair weather fan, like Almost all of my friends
ahh, a steelers fan. good thing you're an inforooster! j/k! ever notice that the bengals steelers rivalry has gotten more heated over the last few years? our big rival used to be the browns. they're still a rival but not on the same level as the steelers. maybe thats just the feeling on the bengals side, i don't know.
by the way, kimo von olhoffon called and said you're welcome for the super bowl! an ex bengal too!!

hahaha. I have noticed it too. When the games are actually close and competive. Thats how conversations turn. I went to the bengals browns game in 05 at P.B.S. wearing a hines ward jersey. All i can say is that i'm glad i didnt wear the stitched one. I got more hotdogs thrown at me and beers spilt on me, than anyone ever. It was great

Not really a Patriot hater (went to school in New England, back when they really sucked) but I definitely don't want them winning again (Panther season ticket holder from Day 1 & they wrecked our one big shot at glory). I don't see SD as being up to the task so I'm pulling hard for Green Bay to take it all! Besides I'd really like Bret win one for geezers of the world...

good for you man! i'm down for some good 'ol ball bustin' and trash talking but i can't stand the ___ throwing and fights. i'd rather hurt someone by verbal assult, that keeps them pissed for a week, than throw a punch or hotdog. but there are always going to be "those" azzholes to deal with in any stadium. plus those dam dogs and beers are EXPENSIVE!!!
Oh wait that was last year(I guess it's contagious). hehe. As an Eagles fan I cannot root for he Giants or the Patriots. And as the Eagles appeared to be on a downward spiral early in the season, I stated that I was adopting the Packers this year. I also have a fond place in my heart for them because I picked up Greg Jennings and Ryan Grant off of waivers in my fantasy football league and they helped me quite alot. So needless to say, I BACK THE PACK!!!!
I'm the only chargers fan on my floor, I love philip rivers, nice to see him doing extremely well in the playoffs, fuck the haters, and you know those fans were giving him shit after he got injured, that's classy. No one gets on lebron james for talking shit to fans.
The Pats and Packers have to be big favorites for the Bowl.
I'm rooting for the Pats (a clear minority here.) I'm not a big fan but I'm just sick of the pompous Dolphins bragging about being the only undefeated team in history. Enough with the champagne.

If you can't take shit-talk from fans with a grain of salt, you don't belong in professional sports, in my opinion. Sure, it may not have been polite for the crowd to taunt him after getting injured... but since when have sports fans ever been polite?

I think its mostly just Mercury Morris, he's a little off his rocker. Also, i wouldn't be too suprised if the chargers beat the pats. They have the ingredients, tough ground game, especially with Michael Turner, strong pass rush, big receivers, and a top corner. It should be a good game if they play up to their potential.

if brett beats the pats it would be one of the greatest story lines in the NFL in this decade if not more, imo.
And being from New England i'd love to see this whole New England dynasty what with the sox and the celts, but that #4 has a place in my heart. ( and not that sell out vinateiri)

I attend the University of Mississippi aka Ole Miss... Eli defiantly gained his fame from there... But I have meet Eli before and personally he is not nice... I am defiantly going to be going for the Packers on Saturday! It is supposed to be sub zero temperatures for the game... Eli is basically still an NFL rookie in my books and playing in sub zero temperatures he does not stand a chance... According to the news tonight he is learning to play with a glove on his left hand just for the cold of this weekend... Brett is going to man handle Eli in the bitter cold... I really want to see Brett go out on top... Break out your cheese heads!

oh and if it's a patriots v packers super bowl..... i probably wouldn't even watch it.... the love fest for those two QBs from the announcers would most definitely make me want to hurl
It's got to be Patriots v. Packers at this point. That way, it'd be pretty hard to deny the Patriots had the most impressive season in the history of football. They'd have beaten Indy (road), Green Bay (neutral), San Diego (twice at home), Jacksonville (home), Dallas (road), New York (road), Pittsburgh (home) and Washington (home). Throw in a 10-6 Cleveland club, and you have a pretty damn impressive list of teams beaten in a single season.
I still don't think they're the best team I've ever seen (I'm torn between the '98 Broncos and '94 Niners), but they'd certainly been the most impressive.
