My little man Apollo has been very sick. We were not sure he was going to pull through the last few days. But today he is well and getting into trouble. Here is a pic of him a few minutes ago, doing his lion imitation.
YAY YAY YAY! Just found out my older brother bought an engagement ring for his girlfriend today. He hasn't popped the question yet, but I know she'll say yes. They're so clearly in deep, deep love. She is a wonderful, kind and caring person, and she makes him happier than I've ever seen him. So I'm going to have a sister in law! ;D ;D ;D
YAY, it's almost the 21st. The biggest announcement in the history of the 10KLF is about to made. At least that's what the website says. Better not be yanking my chain.
^^ I hope you are right. I need a reason to go to this festival!

Yay! I'm really quacking excited now - the old House of Blues in Boston is finally re-opening, and it's kicking things off with a bang. I was flipping through the Phoenix tonight (alternative weekly paper up here, kind of like The Village Voice), and I saw the shows they'd announced so far - wowee! We've had a shortage of good clubs since Avalon and Axis closed down last year. There are arenas for the biggest bands, but the clubs up here play mostly crappy hip-hop and techno. Allston (college area of Boston, mostly inhabited by 20-somethings) has a couple good places, but they all tend to lean more towards the underground/hipster side of things.
Just check out some names they've announced for the next couple months: *BB King and Buddy Guy *Thievery Corporation *George Clinton and P-Funk *Disco Biscuits *Flogging Molly *Dropkick Murphys (7-show run) *Ozomatli *The Pogues *Cut Copy w/ Matt and Kim *moe. *Umphrey's McGee *State Radio *Lily Allen *Animal Collective
I have a feeling this is about to become my new favorite place in Boston.

I already got tix for Disco Biscuits. House of Blues will probably be #2 behind the Pavillion -on the water and walking distance from my apartment.
Yay! The boy and I have decided that we are going to move off of the mountain! So I'll actually have people to hang out with and a REAL movie theater to go to! The things you miss when you move out of the city...
Yay for getting to leave work an hour early today! My boss is in an exceptionally good mood, he never lets us leave early... I'll take it where I can get it
