Yay! My little sister, who I haven't seen in so long that I can't actually remember how long it has been (at least 3 years, I think), is coming down to visit me in June! I'm sooooooo excited!!!

awww yay for sister time!!! i get to see mine in may and i am soooo excited!
YAY for finally having some really beautiful weather in the forecast...I'm so ready for 80 degrees!!
Same here!! It's supposed to be 85 and sunny on Saturday... it's rained every day I've had off for the past few weeks. I gotta work on my pre-Bonnaroo tan!
Yay for finishing my 2nd of 3 finals tonight. Next one's not until Monday, so my weekend officially begins tonight ;D
I also have to YAY because I have the most awesome little sister in the world. She's 8, and while I could go on and on about how great she is, instead I will share this short story: This morning I was driving her to school, and we started talking about the Beatles. I started talking about a song, and she promptly told me the title, AND which album it's on. When she was 3, she knew every word to Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds. Seriously, at 8 years old, she's more of a Beatles expert that I am; so yay for having a great baby sister...I never could have imagined having such a close bond and friendship with someone almost 16 years younger than me

it will suck. but my dad has offered to pay someone to move all my stuff this time, so that'll be a huge stress off of me. now i just have to become a minimalist in the next 30 days. yay smaller places

That's really cool of your dad! We moved into a smaller place in November, and it hasn't really been that bad. I miss having a big kitchen (our kitchen now is kind of a joke) and the big bathroom, but the smaller living room is kind of cozy. I think, though, part of my optimism about it is because we traded off a few things that make the smaller places worthwhile (paying waaaaaay less rent and living in a duplex, rather than an apartment building, are the biggest ones).

oh yes...this place will be costing me about $300 less a month after all bills are said and done. my kitchen is literally just a stovetop, and a sink. but, it's right behind the bars, and 2 blocks from campus. which means no more driving 20 miles one way to get somewhere.

That's awesome! I love being within walking distance of places. When we moved out of Midtown, we were afraid that we weren't going to be able to walk as many places as we used to, but we actually walk more now that we are a little more in the suburbs. (Although, I think we may be spending more money, too, because it's oh so tempting to walk to the Mellow Mushroom for pizza and a pitcher.)

Yep, there are tons of them in GA. I'm pretty sure they started here in Atlanta. We used to live close to one, but not walking distance. Now, it's about a ten minute walk to get there, and we use the walk as an excuse to go. ("Well, if we are walking, then we are burning some of the calories we will take in when we eat there.") I've only had the hummus once because my boyfriend doesn't like hummus. If we are getting appetizers, we usually go for the pretzels. Damn, I can't talk about it without making myself hungry for pizza.
And, just to stay on topic: Yay for Mellow Mushroom!
