Thanks y'all! (Oh no! Am I going to have to stop saying y'all when I move to Nevada?
Meg, it's a Staff Attorney position, so I'll basically be doing the same thing I do here (research legal issues, write memoranda, and draft opinions), but it'll be NV state law instead of federal law. I'll have to take the NV Bar Exam, which I am definitely not looking forward to, but it will be worth it once I get through it.

Well - look at it this way - at least it's not the California Bar - I hear that one is rough or the Louisiana Bar - their law is all wonky compared to the rest of us

Yeah, I've heard the CA Bar is particularly bad, but the NV one only has a 60 to 65% pass rate, and I know a girl who took it, and she said it was pretty awful. But, again, it'll be totally worth it once I get through it!

^Thanks! We are really excited about being in that area and definitely plan on taking a trip to SF as soon as possible. Josh hasn't been to an ocean since he was 12 (22 years ago), so we have to go since we are going to be so close.

Am kinda laughing about that because of where you are in Atlanta - just a skip, hop and a jump to pretty beaches - either South to Destin and the Emerald Coast for East to the Atlantic
Carson City - to San Fran - 4 hours
Atlanta to Panama City - 6 hours
Atlanta to Tybee Island - 4 hours 20 min
You've been close all along but I know some people have preferences - me personally - I think the Pacific is way too cold - I'll take the Gulf any day
That's sweet. I know we ladies always get excited for babies, but it's so much fun to see the strong men get excited for the chubbly little bundles of joy. Congrats and best of luck with everything!!!

i guess this should be in a hoping thread. but amy and i looked at a house and decided to take it. it is through a friend so we got a discount on the rent + the option to do a rent/contract for deed. BUT she is showing it to a few people and if she can get the full rent it will go to them. BUT i talked to my "real" friend who knows her and said she was drilling him hardcore about us, what we work and where and all that jazz. then he said somehting about how she had said most likely it will be us who gets the 3bed (two on main floor, 1attic bedroom/1bath, huge detatched one stall garage, full basement with washer and drier. then the icing on the cake, she has been trying to sell it for 2 some years now with no luck, so it looks like we may be getting the house. (and its out of the ghetto, not that we are in there now, but i dont want to go there.) one room for the cats stuff, then the other for dusty. oh also it has a three seasons/sun room. hopefully gonna build a little bar room/beer pong room in the basement. we should know by the 15th at the latest. I CAN NOT WAIT!

^Congrats/good luck! I hate the actual process of looking for a place and moving, but it's always fun to live in a new place! Sounds like a great house! I hope everything works out for you.
