I took her out to Gatlinburg over the weekend (a little Smoky Mountain hiking was nice) so she was in a nice, relaxed, post-vacation mood when we got back Sunday night. I cooked her dinner Sunday and then made a fire in the fireplace afterwards. I asked her to sit down next to me in front of the fire and popped the question there. Nothing too elaborate, but that's my style

The eerie coincidence is that my only sibling, my older brother, proposed to his girlfriend just a couple hours before - and we each had no idea that the other was planning to propose!

Yay for me for getting an A on my first college course ;D I'm 40 and never attended college so I'm kind of proud of myself for finally getting around to it and getting an A on my first course.

Also, I just found out my fiancee is flying me out to Seattle for 4 days in April while he has a break on his tour

I've always wanted to go there, plus I get to see him after him being away for 2 months.

Today is a good day !!

Friggin awesome.

1) We finally found a nursing home able to properly take care of my dad and not ignore him when he needs help. Its 1.3 hours away, but he is happy there. Once he is there for 30 days, we can get a living at home waiver and he can FINALLY move back into his own house.

2) AllGood announced their lineup, and its so jamwonderful.
