The karma systyem on here is very interesting, you can smite or karma. I enjoy getting smites, they set me apart, but thats not the the interesting aspect here. The interesting thing is that the entire idea, theology of karma, is that it is given to you by the Good you do. Thoughts, actions Etc. , So the entire idea of people that take the karma system literally is insane , because giving bad karama, should in reality, in turn, give youreal bad karma.
A lot of those who have lotsa karma were here over the winters.
There were also some weird technical karma losses and gains that we shall never quite understand.
And I am a girl and I have NEVER smited anyone. What a darn waste... you get one chance per hour, and to use that chance for hurting someone? That is bad karma for the smiter - gonna get back to you somehow in life. Instead I troll around for a while and give karma to those who are new and trying to participate, those who make great posts or offer friendly tidbits...

i honestly don't know where half my karma has come from. sometimes i'll notice a couple more and be pleasantly surprised.
and i, too, refuse to smite, even if someone is truly being mean, or deserves it. because if that's the case, their own bad karma will get them in end.

Karma is nothing more than a tool for social proof... hey, look how many people like me! Don't you want to like me too? Caring about how much of it you have or don't have is irrelevant. It only has as much power over you as you let it. So don't (let it).
Honestly, I'm surprised by how much karma I have. I mean... I'm an @sshole... just ask anyone. How'd I get so much?

You have so much karma because you shook my hand for that one second we passed each other in centeroo last year. That's just how I roll.
That and even if you have asshole moments you do tend to be a good poster. Some folks just find one person they do not like and stick with it. You've not pissed off enough people yet grasshopper.
That and the money he send me helps too. Mod can abuse the karma system the most. None of us have but there is a first time for everything. Send the checks to....

I dole out karma every so often, but I've been here for two years and I don't have very much. It doesn't bother me. I don't know what we're all getting at here, but um... uh... CORNCAT!

Karma - a belief system that is similar to the saying "what goes around, comes around". Karma can be either good or bad. What you do in this life will determine whether you are rewarded or punished in the next life, as believed in Hinduism.
I've always liked that saying, "What goes around comes around", because it is SO true!
And it is a nice feeling to notice your karma on the boards and seen if it has gone up.. have some karma kingofcheezwiz!
Awww...everyone should give Spook karma...I think I'll start a thread...Give Spooky Karma! He's just awesome that way... Mostly cause he was smart enough to marry Ms Spooky and have the CUTEST lil girl...
