i do, however, partake in the sticky icky daily.
I'm seriously envious of both of you. I wish I had never picked up those cigs from my friend's table that one day when I was 15. I didn't start smoking on even a remotely regular basis until about 1.5 years ago, when I got a full time job 45 minutes away from my house and I picked up smoking more so just to stay awake while driving to and from work. Even if I have to wake up at 630 it still doesn't mean I get to bed before 3 am...
whatever my friends have when i'm drunk. i used to buy packs for years, but i can't get addicted so why waste my money. i don't need to smoke but i do like to have a few when i drink. if i pull a real heavily soaked night, i'll buy a pack so i don't hit my friends so hard.

I don't smoke cigs, but I was thinking since we have pretty good deals on cartons where I live, if it would be okay to sell them at Roo?
No major hussling, just have them on me in case someone needs some, and make some extra cash for food and stuff.
I was thinking $3 a pack would be straight.. the brands are yet to be determined, but most people I know smoke camels or marlboros.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
A lot of people do this, and you can probably up that price to $5 and sell them just as easily... and then you can get that many more grilled cheeses. yumm

I always chuckled at people buying cigs from "vendors" in the campgrounds at Roo last year. Every time I needed a pack I just went and got some free American Spirits...
But to no avail, people never have any problems selling cigs it seems... so go for it!
Lol a carton for 27? In NJ its like 50 or more. I usually try and do buy one get one packs for about 6.50 or 7 bucks. God I don't know why I picked this up. I just love smoking.
^^^ The main reason to sell them for $5 a pack is so you don't have to make change all the time and/or carry a HUGE wad of dollar bills. That's a hassle. And people will happily pay the $5.
I started on Camel Filters, dropped down to Camel Lights, quit for a while, started back with American Spirits, and then went to Camel Turkish Golds. However... I got my Chantix script today... once I get it filled I'm going to start thinking about a quit date.
I cannot smoke a cigarette. It is so gross. Corn on the other hand...
Throughout my whole life, my mom has smoked Merit Ultra Lights, and even while she was pregnant. When I first learned in school that smoking while pregnant can be harmful to the fetus I asked my mother if she had stopped smoking during the time in which she was pregnant with me. Her response: "Weed?"
I quit smoking when I was pregnant with all three kids - unfortunately I started again when they were all around 6 weeks - well - not the youngest - I was breast feeding her so.....it was when she was about 7-8 months olf
Eh, I smoke Marlboro Reds in the winter, but when the heat comes I switch to Lights. Can't finish a red in anything over 80 degrees.
Aren't cartons about $25 in WV? I could've swore I bought one for that much on the way down. It's much cheaper than in PA, $45 for a carton is just ridiculous.
I'm an occasional smoker, but camel turkish silvers are magical American spirits are good too, but so expensive. Actually, they all are, so whatever! I want to try rolling my own!
Our state just upped the tax by a full dollar per pack at the start of this year and it's really getting to be a pain in the ass. I'll be picking up a carton for Bonnaroo and a tax-dodging carton to take home.
i switched between camel lights and marlboro lights.
but i quit smokin' cigs about four years ago...after about a 6-year, pack or more a day, habit. i wish it was as easy for those who want to quit as it was me.
Can you still smoke in bars? As of January 1st, it became illegal to smoke within 15 feet of a window or door of any public building in Illinois. This includes restaurants and bars. I don't mind the restaurants, but one should be able to smoke in a bar. At least the price hasn't gone up.
i'm pretty sure the laws vary from city to city. i know you can't smoke in bars here in starkville, but back in jackson you could. technically you can't smoke within 25 feet of a building here either...

There is no state-wide smoking ban here in Wisconsin, but Madison has one. I think La Crosse might, too, and I know Milwaukee considered one. Gov. Doyle is pushing for a statewide ban, but there's no agreement yet. Apparently Lance Armstrong is helping him with that push. I agree I should be able to smoke in a bar. My liver is envious of the legislative attention my lungs receive. That 15-ft rule sounds like a pain in the ass. I've been told to move for smoking in fenced-off open air areas here, but I think that was because it was a serving area more than because of distance to the door.

I dont know what it is like down there but when I got a pack the other day I think it was like 8.50 or so. And no smoking in the bars is really damn annoying.

when i've picked them up for friends down here they're like 3.25'ish
after about 10 years of smoking cigs, i have put forth the effort to quit...so far im at 8 weeks without a cig (well, technically tomorrow)...i have taken up the pipe though...i know there is no healthy smoke...but the way i view it, with pipe tobacco im not inhaling it so it wont affect my lungs (as much) and i can still go running or whatever...the only thing i have to worry about it gum and tooth cancer

ive been smoking for almost 6 years...it sucks...its a horrible horrible habit that i wish i could break...ive tried a million times and it has yet to work...but ANYWAYS
i will smoke marlboros and camels...menthol or not...depends on whats on sale at the time..(the joys of being strapped for cash)
it doesn't help that packs are anywhere from 4.30 to 5.50 a pack...cartons are around 40 bucks...its ridiculous...ugh...
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard. No song that I could sing. But I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepiatone loving Love is the answer
