I was never a church go-er. Once I made confirmation I was done. Then this past October I just decided I wanted to go back, so I've been attending every Sunday since.

This is why I can't take the Catholic Church (and religion in general) seriously. I'll give them a pass on the social injustice, poverty and environmental sins, noble causes, one and all.
The genetics sin is a coin flip: cures for diseases vs designer babies. Should have allowed "good" uses, after all the father of the science was a monk. WTF?
Same line of thought with human experimentation. Was it voluntary (good, saintly even) or was it forced or upon the unknowing (evil).
The financial gluttony sin really sticks in my craw as the Catholic Church is the largest land holder on earth. They own some of the most choice real estate on the planet, tax free baby. Think they'd ever consider selling off a piece, feed a few hungry, whatever, not in this world or the next one either...
So far as the taking of druqs, the last time I checked ETOH was still one and they check a little out every Sunday. Also heard that certain member of their upper management was reported to have supplied an entire wedding reception by "turning water into wine".
(Saw some fine suggestions for additional sins, although I think a couple were reversed and be: Voting for animals Sex with Hillary)

Ah, I love it. Didn't even think of it. I always love to wonder what happened to the missing years of Jesus's life left out the bible. And oh that Mary Magdalain...Must have been a hell of a party.
No Polluting is the one I don't get. I mean, don't we all contribute to pollution in some way? Everyone that drives a car, people that use hairspray, non recyclers: all going to hell.
And financial gluttony? My sister lives in the bible belt of Texas and her town just built a $28 million church. $28 million! Talk about financial gluttony.

It's all for show, they can't look like the guys who are taking your donations and not acting like they care so this list actually makes perfect sense.
