It's my theory that one or the other has done evil things to a person at one time or another and has been sworn off forever. Tell the story if you want to.
For me it was upsidedown margaritas in my freshman year of college I can't even stand the smell of tequila but I like Jaeger and have no problems with it at all.

I vote tequila, there are sooooo many wonderful types & brands of tequila to choose from. (Don Julio Anejo....mmm) Jager on the other hand is well.....just Jager.

yeah that is a good point. but tequila just makes me want to vom
actually. if this is just a "SHOT" pole. then its jaeger, but if its a drink poll then its tequilla cuz i like a rita every now and then ;D

Honestly, I do believe that if a person has had a bad expierience with tequila, its because they were drinking the wrong tequila. Shots of Cuervo are just wrong. While you cant get rid of a bad expierience, trying a quality tequila could change your mind. It worked for me with vodka. I swore up and down I couldnt stand/ would never it drink again, and now I enjoy it.
But I go with tequila for its versatility. Jaeger's a party drink. But you don't sip on top shelf Jaeger. And you can't pound jaeger when you're trying to forget what's ailing you...

As for the question at hand, I'd much rather go with tequila if I'm looking to sip, or just "drink" one of the two -- but, if I want to shoot some dirty deer blood and start peeing on strangers, but convincing them that it's totally cool, count me in for a liter or two of Jager. At the end of the day, I really don't turn to either, unless I'm allowing myself a complete checkout.

I prefer Jaeger, can't stomach Tequila for long till it turns on me Was at On The Border and had a good three or so super heavy Margharitas with Patron, well who knew that I would be at my friendgirls brothers ex wifes house when the vomit hit the floor.
Haha, funny stuff. Her brother thought it was HILARIOUS, couldn't stop laughing, when i sobered up he was like dude, that was the funniest crap I have ever seen, the situation and timing was perfect!!!

I broke the 13 vs 13 tie and picked Tequila...my shot of choice. But of course I would never say no to a free Jaeger shot lol.
