Well, I have to say, for a message board as vast (and musically oriented) as this one, I'm surprised I've never seen anyone attempt a Rickroll. Like, was I not at a meeting where we all decided it wasn't cool and to never do it? Because I've always thought about it, but thought perhaps no one would get it.
For those not acquainted with Rickrolling, everything you need to know can be found in this Handy Informational Guide.
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo

I wear my jackass badge proud . . . I'm going to drop a Rickroll over in the Troo Music lounge where they won't see it coming . . . maybe not tonight, maybe not tomorrow, but someday.

Here's a link to an actual article about Rick Rolling from The Guardian (which hit the front page of reddit last week), where they also happen to pull off the best Rick Roll in the history of the Internet.
at least you were considerate which one you linked hehe.
the first time i got rickrolled, it was some mutant version that every time you tried to close the window, another 2 opened up. my fingers were flying through ALT+F4's and CTRL+ALT+DEL's like eddie van halen playing eruption.
edit: besides...i'll admit rick astley songs are one of my musical guilty pleasures... i'm a child of the 80's, can't help it!
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
I wondered when the concept of the rick-roll would make it to inforoo, I didn't want to be the one to start the madness. I can't believe that rick astley actually looked like an adult to me when he was big, I was probably 12 or 13, and to me now, he dosen't look much older than that.
I prefer these guys for cheesy 80's music to piss people off with.

alieblue got me with this one! It was hysterical. I then got one of my officemates with it and he wasn't as amused ;D
I think the secret of rick rollin's success is that everyone loves this song. Be it secretly or otherwise, everyone wants to sing along. The only curse is that it gets stuck in your head.

It's saying the video isn't available for me. That's weird, because I have been RickRolled before.
Since the video is a copyrighted work, they are pulled down from time to time. So new one are always going up, and older links will fail after a while.
I am proud/embarrassed to say that I have heard him sing this live. He was at the Tennessee state fair. There were about 10 of us there to hear him. He was disappointed in the size of the crowd.
