they can give and they take away - not entirely fair if it was a mod - who knows - I cannot imagine that 30 different people got pissed at you tho - or even 15 different people smiting you 2 times each in the last 2 hours.
I am all but positive that it was a moderator's decision to alter my karma. I could be wrong, but I find it hard to believe I racked up that many smites in two hours.
someone could also have multiple accounts to smite you down fast.

The mods have access to a list of log in names and the IP addresses they use. People who create multiple accounts are usually caught and banned. Not to mention, it would have to be quite a few accounts.

smiters confuse me. if you're that upset about something that someone said, why not talk it out rather than be sneaky and smite? i wonder... if there was a thread made about karma/smiting.. where you go to just state why you gave someone karma, or why you smited someone.. how many people would actually use it?

proboards has a security log that tells you all actions on the board. you can see who smote/exaulted who and how many times. I'm not sure if only the admin can get to it though...

I'm officially hiding in here. My posts in the troo lounge have gotten me smited (smoted? smiten? haha i have no idea) more than once and I'm tired of it I didn't even say anything bad!
Only the one of the admins can see who is smiting who - the mods cannot see all that stuff - so if an admin has not been around or if they were not aware that there is a problem - they are not gonna go reading through that logs for any reason - it is perfectly logical that a couple of people could have created multiple accounts just for the sake of smiting - it has been done before (to me).
Anyway - not saying a mod did not do it - I think the logical place it would have happened was when you were arguing with Dudewheresmyroo (aka sneaky hippie) and Wooz asked ya'll to stop
im being somewhat jewish this weekend - i got invited to a sader (sp??). so im brining some wine and "hebrew" beer (ha ha! - the chosen beer, according to the label).
He-brew is good stuff. But unfortunately beer is not Kosher for Passover.
