So after not having a dvd of the 2005 festival released, I was worried that we wouldn't get a 2006 either. Well at the festival, I noticed a bunch of the cameramen wearing the same shirts, which all had "phearcreative.com". So I decided to email one of the guys from the website and asked him if there was a dvd for 2006 in the works, and his reply was:
A dvd is in the works, yes. We were simply hired to shoot it. No decision has been made as to whether or not we’ll be involved in the post production as well. I hope you had a great time.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
Also note that AT&T actually hired Three on the Tree (the Clinch filmmakers from the first DVD's) to do their video, so there's a whole host of HD footage there too. I can't wait until its archived!
I noticed the copious amounts of cameramen at all the shows too... can't wait for the DVD! ;D
I know a guy who is working on the teardown crew andhe said that for the past few days they have been pulling audio and video cable up out of the ground.
He said that every tent and stage had all these huge A/V cables running from the stages to a central location where they were recording audio and video. I assume he meant that this where all of that was being fed back to.
So, the recordings are there, as I am sure they were last year as well, so hopefully we will see a kick azz DVD.
I agree, they should put out an 05 DVD, DMB was there!!!!
it is still possible for 05 to come out. I remember 04 came out like June 1st of 05 I believe so it was only a week or 2 before the festival. it's only been an extra month, so it's still very possible. I'm hoping it come out. There were so many good shows last year and a lot of very good colabs; Dave and Robert Randolf/Warren Haynes, Widespread played with just about everybody haha. How can you not put out a dvd of that? the 4 disc 05-06 would be awesome. they'd sell so many of them.
I spent the day shopping and I have to share with you guys (since no ne else would understand) what I bought:
1. 2002 Roo DVD 2. 2003 Roo DVD (I already have the 2004 DVD) 3. Lilith Fair DVD 4. 2005 Jam in the Dam DVD
I'm hoping these will entertain me on this long, boring weekend. Well, at least until Tuesday (July 4th) when I go to the Independence Day Jam (Keller Williams, Taj Mahal, Bob Weir & RatDog, Michael Kang of SCI, Green Lemon & The Ills).

You'll have to let me know how the Jam in the dam dvd is. I'm thinking about going next year.

Bump As close as Roo is ,anybody think were gonna get a 2006 dvd this year, the last one came out about a month before Roo. There were a lot of cameras there last year.
I really want an '06 DVD since that was my first year
same here. It would be aswsome to have video playback of something I was at and participated in. Plus I would love to see a band or two I wasn't able to see.
The Krewe of Roo DVD was much better than the commercial release, IMHO. I'd love '05 and '06 one, though.
Last night, I was going through some old shit after moving two weeks ago, and I discovered that I DID get my Krewe of Roo DVD, I just never watched it and completely forgot about it! All this time I was so jealous I'm so excited, I'm popping it in tonight after lost
