enough with the constant karma posts. I understand people want to congratulate people for making good points but come on some posts go over 100 pages long and reading all these threads about giving karma points is getting really old. The worst part is no one is using karma correctly. It does differ between religions, but the common thread is it is not about receiving rewards for actions. However everyone is using it like the Simpson's hippie remark in the homerpoluza episode about receiving karma for giving tips. Sorry to be such a pain but cant people just push the karma button and not post a thread about how they pushed the button.

I do not think the "karma" system is meant to be taken as a literal interpretation of the religious concept. Perhaps "karma" was a bad word choice, but that doesn't mean we should shift the way we use the system in order to align with the religious idea.
I am more frustrated with large pictures in people's signatures taking up thread space than I am about karma posts.
seriously though, it's just another way to add interaction to the message board.
I don't know why you would make a thread about this in the music lounge. It would almost as silly as me going over to the logistics tent and starting a post titled "Stop posting in the wrong forum!"

and bonnaroodetective im like 90% sure you can make everyones sigs invisible to you..someone on here has done it..maybe idioteque? cant remember who but ask around, and that should solve your problem. ..

I believe I am entirely within my rights to give karma even when I Don't feel like it. I DO NOT APPRECIATE being told I should only give karma when I feel like it.

I agree southgajd... Karma to you. And I think I have the most annoying signature! Its flippin huge and I love it, and i love the sparkling cupcakes too!!
