Did they ever fix the right channel speakers for Bassnectar?
Lol, all i heard the whole time was really DEEEP bass. then him talking about how we should enjoy life and what not. Then a guy proceeded to talk about "Hoola hoops and Pvssy" until STS9's sound check. He was basically like kicked outta the front row. Kinda hairy at the time, but now that I think about it, its Hilarious!

yeah dude.
Some member of the crew straight gorilla'd up the rafters with no gear...and really really nimble like, and took care of the problematic monitors/speakers.
In my transcended state of mind, i remember thinking, "if this guy falls, not only is it gonna fvckin suck, it's gonna cancel the Sound Tribe show!"
the new deal's setlist is a tough one to crack. They start a "song", venture off, and then start playing that same song's motive like 4 track's later. It's hard for me to decipher what is a jam and what is actual material, since i'm still not fully acquainted with their self titled album yet. I'm close though, just give me a little bit longer.

BOOTS YES!!! i caught like 3 minutes of pelican and was like "WTF IS THIS" when we was waklin to bisco.
I doubted anyone would care about the Pelican. I love em. Great band from the Thrill Jockey label. If you like them, you might like Tortoise. Holler at me if you'd like some Tortoise material. They're a fav of mine.

yep. I doubt you heard Deacon, cuz i heard he had some issues.
ah, will. I was only going by what a friend told me. He was really excited to get the chance to see Deacon, and when he walked over there, there were some sort of technical issues going on with the equipment of some sort, so he headed to Bisco.
Strum, in case you still care, i've tracked The NewDeal's set. What took me so long was trying to decipher if any of the jam was actual material. It really just went like this:
Jam>Deep Sun>Jam>Technobeam>Jam>Glide
On my iTunes, the tracking looks like this:
1)Jam 2)Jam 3)Jam 4)Deep Sun* 5)Deep Sun > Jam 6)Jam 7)Jam 8)Jam 9)Jam 10)Technobeam > Scott Langer What Have You Done?! 11)Jam 12)Jam > **Glide
* - Deep Sun starts @ 1:55
**Glide begins @ 2:56
track 11 may be some song i don't know about. Please correct me if you see an error.
i figured out The New Deal formula. They jam until Dan introduces a cue on the bass really low in the mix. The band then winds down the jam and then they build up the cut, sustain the suspense until everyone can't take it anymore, and they then unleash the rage, forcing us to be ass shaking slaves.

That's a sick formula... thanks for the ridiculous crazy detective work! ;D
