"the new work will be "radically different" from its predecessor, To The 5 Boroughs. In fact, the record will harken back to the B-Boys classics Check Your Head and Paul's Boutique."
Mike joked that they plan to use some of their festival dates to expand their fanbase. "We're trying to really cross over into the whole jam band, Bonnaroo, Government-- what's it?-- Gov't Mule? That whole genre. We can play up the jam band [aspect], have a hacky sack tent. The 'Hack Sack Hand'... 'Sack Hand State Fair', we're going to be performing at. We're going to be performing at a lot of state fairs and a lot of pie-eating contests, too."

When they get back from Europe they're going to tour the US. Supposedly they'll play two shows in some cities...the first being a regular show at a big arena, the second being a "Mixup" themed show at a more intimate venue. Dates tba.
I have had the pleasure of listening to the new BBoys album and must say, for me, best Beastie album ever!
It amazes me how certain artists musical tastes evolve and change over the years. This is a LONG WAY from License to Ill!
I really like it, very jazzy. It very much had some MMW influence in there. BBOys are definitely no longer a hip hop act! I would love to see them do roo with a set focused on this style of music!
