i just want to state for the record this was my idea ;D anyways..i will say ten. becaus when this came out i was 11 years old and my music taste was JUST forming. Who knows what i would be listening to now if i didnt figure out that i needed that album. I mean it probably had alot to do with Jeremy, but who cares really... vS. is my 2nd and i really dug the newest album actually...
wow im just realizing how important Pearl Jam is to my music 'life'.. hmmm
I've always thought that "Vs." was the best, just me though. Had a great flow and individual songs. That said, I've never been too terribly big on any of their albums, though I do like them a plenty.
Was just a kid when Ten came out, but loved it. Listened to Vs. & Vitalogy until the cd fell apart, but No Code is the album I always come back to and listen to the most now. Some of the new stuff is interesting, but to go back to the cliche, their early stuff was more edgy, and Eddie was more of a loose cannon, which was nice and rock n'roll. But I do like that they have an American Who thing going on lasting as long as they have and actually looking like they could go on for a few more years at least.
I'd have to say Vs. It was the first PJ album I bought. I never could get into Ten all that much, not sure why. If Pearl Jam plays the Roo this year I really hope they play 'Go'. Gets me pumped up.
Only 2 votes each for No Code and Yield (often the top two when similar polls are posted Pearl Jam message boards) and all these votes for Ten & Vs.? Makes me think many people here haven't listened to enough of Pearl Jam's later albums.
If you haven't heard No Code and/or Yield you are missing out on some of Pearl Jam's best work.
Vitalogy, closely followed by No Code. Yield and the self-titled aren't far behind, either.
Vitalogy and No Code just feel like their most complete and at the same time, most diverse albums. I love the weird instrumentals on Vitalogy, I don't know what it is. It seems like the album wouldn't be the same without them.

I think their earlier albums are easier for anyone to get into. Everything after Vs. tends to take people a while to get into. They definitely get better with each listen.
Wow, talk about a difficult call...I really like the self-titled "Pearl Jam" album. The three that got me loving Pearl Jam most were Ten, Binarual, and Yeild. Least favorite is Riot Act (tho it's a better album then what most bands can ever put out).
