Of the big four, my preferences would be:
1. Neil Young 2. Eric Clapton 3. Led Zeppelin 4. Roger Waters
I'd take Tom Waits over all those combined however. Although I don't think he's famous enough to be the "big announcement". People here would be thrilled, but the average Roo-goer would go, yeah, I think I've heard of him...
Has anyone mentioned Pink Floyd? I know it sounds insane, but I just don't see simply Roger Waters added. Just another crazy thought, but I hadn't seen that one floating around.
Does anyone really think the addition would be a second tier act and NOT a headliner? I just don't see them letting the other festivals one-up them like that. Just my 2 cents.

another thing about reunions is they are hit and miss as far as how the bands sound..this would be my major concern with a LZ add..(i would definately not complain)...but i have read VERY mixed reviews of thier reunion show. and its not like they would be haveing a lot of practive time, if any.

I think the "big" announcement could be a lot of different things. I'm really starting to think that they are going to throw out the traditional schedule and give us something crazy, so the concept of "headliner" is kinda vague. It could be a really really exciting artist in residence.

my opinion we get a headliner quality announcement and another pretty decent size band along with some smaller acts.
the headliner(Clapton? Young? Zep?) was prob already set up in advance and they are gonna add ABB's replacement(Mule?). Then we will get a few small acts to fill out the bill. possibly we will get some 2nd tier bands added as well.

ok so i think we are gonna get a pretty good replacement only because superfly has been aware of the possibility of this scenario to play out so i think it's gonna be neil young and chuck berry
yea, I feel even though Mule was there last year, they are almost a Roo regular. With Warren no longer there b/c of Allmans dropping out, I could most certainly see Mule being added in replacement. I certainly wouldn't mind.
I know it's not the big announcement you guys are looking for, but they could announce that Eddie Vedder will do a solo set in addition to the Pearl Jam set. That would be great in the evening where the ABB were likely to perform.
Of course, I, like most of you, am hoping for LZ, Clapton, or Neil Young.

When I brought up a thread asking who would pre-headline before Metallica, ABB seemed to be the leading contender. But they're out now. I figure it will probably be a bigger name that can fill that time slot.
I notice Stone Temple Pilots have a reunion going on.
This could be annoying for some, but how about a Kanye/Jay-Z late night on Saturday? I mean, he's headlining Glastonbury. Just a thought.
Oh and thoughts on the Allman Brothers replacement? Steve Winwood did it in '04 so he's a possibility. Black Crowes or Kings of Leon also could be thrown into the mix.
phish, zepplin, and floyd reunions would be too big. (if thats possible)

although, i think the Breeders will be announced on thursday. they won't be THE announcement, but if other additions besides the big one are announced, i think the breeders are in.
their tour ends june 13th in Atlanta. it's too perfect.
i really dont think it's gonna be a huge name like a lot of you are thinking. It'll be a big name, but not huge.
they know a LOT of fans are going to be disapointed with ABB dropping out, so they really had to announce that there would be "big news" it's really just a replacement. This "big news" would not have been added if the ABB had not dropped out.
honestly, i really think the biggest name it COULD be is Roger Waters. But seriously, that would just be a slap in the face from coachella. not that i wouldnt love the show... but you guys know what i mean.
