I agree with this, too. There will even be a general concensus that it's not someone, and thirty minutes later multiple posts pop up asking if it could be them.
Keep in mind that most of those posts come from people that have not taken the time to read what has already been posted - they are jumping into a thread without reading the background.
I think that's a big part of the problem. People only read the most recent page of a thread and assume it has all the information they need to know.
its not gonna be Rage. they're over in Europe that weekend. i think it might be DMB. they play in CT, then have 2 days off and play in NY. they've done three shows on consecutive nights before. i would love for it to be DMB. it would be great seeing as the hartford shows are my local shows and i'll be down at the Roo.

LOL - one of my pet peeves - but I can see where people might be intimidated when they log in and there at 20 pages of clues or 20 pages of who do you think will be there.

No, the anger stems from how this used to be a board where you could go and get good info about Bonnaroo. And sometimes it would be early info. But now it's just flooded with the same posts over and over again about who would be awesome, when are they playing, why isn't there any love for so and so, etc. when there are already three threads for each topic.

The only reason it gets to 20 pages is because of the idiots that don't read the pages preceding the one they are on, they then proceed to post mindless dribble because they HAVE NO FRAME OF REFERENCE. If these people didn't post or, gasp, read the stuff, then we wouldn't have these insanely huge threads where about 90% of the posts are worthless.

Don't they play Friday/Saturday in CT and Monday in NY?
I don't see them finishing up Saturday evening in CT, then flying all their gear down to TN, playing Sunday (and where would they play? they are a headliner-spot band, and JJ is going that nigh), then turning around and flying back to NY for a show. Doesn't make sense.
nope, they're playing Darien Lake on Tuesday. and i'm pretty sure they have 2 sets of gear.
They are doing it to go to rothbury.. i mentioned that. They fly from Charleston to MI, then right back down south for Atl or Charlotte. they would qualify as big imo

I'd rather have more threads on these topics than a few threads that contain anything. It's hard to keep track of a 50+ page thread, so I think offloading some of the important or interesting points into their own threads is a good thing. In the big threads you end up with ten different conversations going on simultaneously and it is very hard to follow.
To me this is just making a mountain out of a molehill. I do not like every band at Bonnarroo but all that means is that I will not be at those shows. There will be over 100 bands playing along with everything else Roo offers. If you don't like a particular band then do something else.

I won't kill myself b/c I'm too excited for Sigur Ros, but I will complain mightily at the use of "EXCITING" to describe either of those bands playing Bonnaroo.
