I am sure we will see permanent water stations and bathroom facilities. What I would really like to see is permanent mist areas. Perhaps with some sort of synthetic or concrete flooring that has a drainage system. That way you are not always wading through 5 inches of mud when you want to get under the shade and get some mist.

I'd like to see some kind of synthetic flooring in the tents as well. Something to keep them from turning into mud pits. Sometimes you just need to sit down for a while, and it would be great to have the option to do that.
I'd like to see video screens at every stage and tent, not just the main stage. I don't even think that that's any sort of permanent issue but is something that's needed.
Instead of a movie theater or a cinema tent I think they should set up A massive screen (much like the ones they use on the main stage) And show the movies via that.
In Bonnaroo '02 they had just one huge screen in a field off to the side of Which Stage and Showed World Cup '02 games at 2:30 and %:00 in the morning as it was on the other side of the world. They also had a few showings of movie's and other things, but not much.
But I remeber that screen was prolly the same size as one of the big What Stage screens. I wish they would do that again instead of the cramped Cinema Tent.
ya i think they only cut hey from the roo farm. im sure it was part of the agreement. as for a floor in the tents i think that would make a bigger mess. it would get tracked in. we have these great blankets that you can get at target (or anywhere im sure) they fold up into a bag with a strap so you can carry stuff in them plus they are waterproof on one side. i have sat in some pretty wet stuff and it has always kept me dry. in o4 we used a small tarp. and we had one of tohose foil emergency blankets. it did a good job of keeping us dry and it held together for most of the weekend. and it weighed nothing and fit inot a big ziploc. easy to carry and no messing up the rest of your stuff with mud.
Actually, the roo land only has hay for a short time of the year. About three months from seed to harvest. The other times during the year the farm has cows on it. That ain't just mud y'all are stomping through. They harvest the hay in early May and soon aftwards they start setting up the festival.
The roo arch has never come down since year one.
Sometimes you can see cows under the arch.
Alas, now that roo owns the farm, I bet we see no more cows.
As a matter fact there haven't been any out there this year. Wonder how long the deal has been in the works????
That'd make the best Bonnaroo lot shirt ever, pic of a couple cows chillin under the arch...
waiting for some shrooms to pop out of their crap. ;D
ive often wondered how good a time a couple of lucky wild animals have when they work their way back towards the farm after we all leave. id like to be a raccoon that found those chocalates i dropped.
didnt see very many unique lot shirts last year, there was the one with the (wrong) list of bands with the roo logo that some dudes were selling and that was pretty much it.
ya i bought one i liked and then noticed it was from 04. and it was a medium when he said x large (i never bothered to check i just walked away and stuffed it in my backpack). but i found a friend who could use it.
I think they should focus on the stages the most. the main stage could have like a huge canopy over it to provide better shade from the hot sun. It'd be cool if they made like a circular design of retractable canopies around the entire main stage area. they could do the same thing for the second stage too, on a smaller scale.

Not that this is necessarily contingent on now owning the land, but they really should redesign Which Stage. For the life of me, I've never seen a set there that I really enjoyed, and it's because it's always so difficult to get a spot that 1) isn't rediculously far or 2) doesn't have a mostly obscured viewpoint. At the very least they should expand the sides a bit. It shouldn't be that the second stage is more crowded than the main stage.

I would like them to build a Starbucks and McDonalds and Wal-Mart and cell-phone tower and condominiums and all the other elements of corporate suburbia that I try to get away from at Bonnaroo! Maybe even a Bed, Bath and Beyond! Whoo! Seriously, though, I am down with better bathrooms, cuz I took my lady last year and she was not having those port-o-potties.
I think they should build a solar or wind farm- they could harvest enough energy to power the stages, and have enough left over to sell to utilities during the rest of the year. I think the Solar Stage is cool, but if the Roo weekend is overcast, permanent solar/wind power reserves could prevent blackouts. I'd bet that investment would pay for itself after three years, and makes fiscal sense since I believe AC/Superfly purchases RECs for generator use anyway.
After that, I'd like to see them pave some permanent walkways, especially going back to BFE campgrounds. They could also probably build some better drainage systems in some areas. By now, they probably know which areas flood and turn into mosquito central when it rains.
I think paved walk ways would be weird, although the constant dust flares would not be missed. Better Screens for the main stage would be cool, as i'm sure those who didn't battle for 4 hours to see radiohead last year might agree. maybe more useful structures/ markers to help campers find their tents, though i didn't have a problem last year since my tent was right near a giant inflatable purple gorilla.
How about a trolly system running around the farm?
now that's an idea I can get behind... maybe make it like a tram system around the grounds so people don't have to walk an hour to centeroo. The Bonnaroo Express.
