I would actually be really curious to have seen this poll before tonight and then after... but alas, that's impossible. So i vote WSP. I like the possibilities of JJ and Vedder.

JJ could have guested with PJ and still been a headliner. My vote is for JJ. I've been to enought Bonnaroos closed out by WSP.
My biggest problem: This just throws one more act into the mix for a potential conflict. WSP gets added in the middle of the day on Saturday? No skin off my back. JJ gets bumped down to Saturday evening, and now all the sudden I have to choose between him and someone else. LAME.
i vote for widespread ONLY because i can leave early now. it kinda works out better to have jack saturday, because i wanted to catch a few minutes of him at least, but i also wanted to leave early, so this works out ok.
still doesn't make me any less pissed that WSP is the "big" announcement though...
i think people put way too much stock in the importance of headliners.
Bull. Headliners get 3-4 hour slots with no conflicting acts. Most others get 90 minutes to two hours and conflict with other bands. I want 3-4 hours of Jack Johnson, and I don't want to have to worry about it conflicting with anything - the way it was when I bought my ticket.

Not thrilled about the announcement either, but they did say JJ will start paying at Sunset. Most likely he won't overlap much at all with other bands if this is true.
id like a good mix... headliners are huge to me.. 3-4 hours from a killer band > small sets from a bunch of good bands. this year i am looking forward to PJ the most, was kinda hoping Raconteurs would get the mainstage before them, that would have REALLY set the mood. hopefully they dont get the white stripes slot from last year, that will be soooo crowded
honestly, if anyone though jack johnson was gonna sit around playing accoustic songs for 4 hours, they were sadly kidding themselves. It was gonna be a HUGE festival ending party with TONS of guests. Jack has A LOT of friends.
so yeah, im happy with the claypool add and majorly disapointed that wsp is now closing the fest. Hopefully JJ's set is still a big party.
I would rather have WSP headlining on Sunday night, when I can just go back to the campsite and party, than right before Pearl Jam, when I would have to sit through them. I don't mind Jack Johnson and I'm kind of excited to see him open for Pearl Jam.

i dont care either way. not a huge fan of either but i will more likely be at JJ than WSP, unless there is something i like a lot better going on when JJ is on. i think its cool hes opening for PJ and that opens up some cool possibilities in my eyes. but as for this poll, ABSTAIN
not very likely that was ever going to happen anyways.
I think it was actually very likely. 4 hours? No. 3 hours? Very likely. He had the headliner spot and was bound to bring out tons of guests. JJ could have filled out 3 hours, but now I have to listen to Widespread Panic meander through another jam for 4 hours.
I'd much rather listen to Widespread "meander," as you say, then Jack Johnson bumble his way through some mellow little groove for a couple of hours. Nothing against JJ, but to end on that note would be a little disappointing. Personally, I'd rather go out with a bang.
All that said, am I disappointed? Yeah, a little -- I like WSP and really wouldn't have minded seeing them added to the lineup, but this slot...again? After all the jokes about them playing every year and the disappointing twofer in 2005? Somebody dropped the ball.
not very likely that was ever going to happen anyways.
VERY likely. like i said, jack has lots of friends. if you thought he was gonna sit on stage playing a bunch of accoustic songs to close the fest, you are dreamin!
