They are big reason I am going. But I am getting nervous because Saturday late is Phil and I asume Kanye. Where does that leave Sigur Ros? A day set might not be the best situation to see Sigur Ros. Anyone have an idea when they might play?

I am wondering as well - I really hope Superfly sees the opportunity they have with Sigur Ros as a late night act. Their performance is mind blowing. If they are not late night - then hopefully a late day/early night performance. But pray it is late night.
I would love to see them do a late-night set, but I think they could still put on a mind-blowing daytime set. In fact, one of the outdoor concerts in their film Heima started in the late afternoon and went on into the early evening, and that looked like one hell of a great show.
Also....what are the odds that Umphreys' does/doesnt get late night?
Well......If the predicted schedule on here (Inforoo) is right....and Umphrey's are on Thursday.....perhaps it's for a Thursday latenight/semi-late show.
Since we already know that Tiesto, Disco Biscuits, Phil, and MMJ all have Late nights (assuming Friday and Saturday) there may be smaller tents open for the Umph.
I'd like to see them at night......but the less bands on latenight the better at this point. I have too many I want to see full sets of.
If Umphrey's play on Thursday, it will most definitely be one of the three semi-headliner slots. Probably with DSO and Battles (like Cluth/Rodrigo y Gabriella/Tea Leaf Green last year).

On one hand I definitely want to see them late night, but on the other hand there are so many groups I'd like to see then having one less wouldn't be a bad thing. Oh the dilemma.

Sigur Ros would have to play the Which Stage, because Jack Johnson now has the mainstage pre-Pearl Jam. That being said, I hope that they push Sigur Ros back enough so that they start right before sunset, and about halfway through their set, they have dark to play.
The more I think about that ^^^^, the more I like it. It is beautiful in my mind. Hopefully it doesn't rain.
That would also mean I could see all of Kanye's latenight glow in the dark fiasco.
They played a late afternoon set at Coachella in 06 and were on just before Kanye. I love Sigur Ros but it was spoiled by:
a) Daylight = no light show b) Only 45 minute set (not a problem at Roo) c) Fuckwit Kanye fans who talked through the whole set and just shouted when it got loud.
Very much looking forwad to this one, hoping for late night, but eliminating (b) and (c) above are more important for me.
I definitely wouldn't mind an Umphrey's thursday headliner.

You need to check your ears to see if you're hearing music correctly because if you were to miss out on MMJ in order to see Umphrey's McGoo...you're deaf. Quite possibly dumb and blind also.
I've heard Sigur Ros will be late night along side Phil Lesh & Homies on Saturday night. If that's a tough one for you, you're name is Tommy.
With the Glow in the Dark tour just kicking off, I've looked at some video and seen that Kayne's set for the show is f*cking massive. So I think that if anyone were to do a headline spot on the main stage Thursday, it'd be him. That way they have all day Thursday to set it up, and all day Thursday to break it down. If he doesn't bring all that to 'Roo, I'm sure he'll still put on a good show, but I for one will be some what disappointed that I got to miss the mind f*ck that is his Glow in the Dark Extravaganza. Especially if we don't get it with the world famous 'Roo atmosphere.

That's the best part of Roo.
I'm at Bonnaroo to see bands A, B and C, while you're there to see bands X, Y and Z. And we both have the times of our lives, albeit completely different times from one another.
A 6:00 PM or so set on the Which Stage makes allot of sense (during the What Stage pre-headliner.).
Also, I'm hoping for a late night, but if it's not, it'll be ok... they'll get at least an hour and a half, no matter their slot.
As for Umphrey's McGee, I'm actually thinking it's possible for them to pre-headline for Metallica. If not that, then I'd assume a late night, or (if Thursday is being expanded) a high end Thursday night set.
I got the impression that Chris Rock was "pre-headlining" before Metallica. He's listed pretty high in the lineup and is supposed to play the What Stage. So it makes sense that it will be him. That's fantastic as far as I am concerned. Rock>Metallica>MMJ. Can't wait!!!
^ To the Chris Rock thing, I was thinking that instead of Chris Rock filling our common Pre-headlining - 5:30-7:00 or whatever slot, he would be inbetween Preheadliner and headliner, like, while they're setting up... The more you post the more i like the way you think. ;D While my recent reintroduction does make it somewhat of a conflict theres a 90% chance i'd take Umphrey's latenight. Nothing wrong with my ears, they hear two guitarists who could melt the faces off of MMJ. They also have a pretty decent band backing them. This is my opinion based on my tastes, obviously someone with different musical interests would feel differently.
