My lunch break consisted of a sandwich and an hour long nap in my car while listening to Langhorne Slim. I consider that a very pleasant lunch break if I say so myself.

We "closed" at 3... but our offsite phone person screwed up and didn't turn off the phones... and now is nowhere to be found, so now it is me and the receptionist answering calls until we can find him or 5:30, whichever comes first ... I let everyone else go because why should we all be held hostage on a holiday weekend... this sucks
we had an impromptu bbq in our parkinglot. beers, burgers, brats...
then there was some rumbling that people didnt like us drinking beers. yet a director and national sales manager were there. whatever. let me go home, damnit!

If you let your staff leave early, do you get to leave early too?

yeah, I could probably leave whenever I feel like it. I could be really mean and give out tasks and then go home while they're being finished. but i'm nice and will probably just call it a day around3ish

sounds like a good idea
yeah, now I'm pissed. He left without telling me the last status on a couple of things we were working on. I think somebody has to make up two hours next week.

I'm leaving work a whopping 10 minutes early... I'm kind of pissed about that considering I spent 8-3 doing absolutely nothing and then they decided to give me a list of crap to do. blah work.
Well, with Bonnaoroo drawing near, I've taken a headcount on our group.
First year (06) we had 4 people. Just us "bros."
Last year, there were 12 people. Some of those people hated Bonnaroo, so they don't have to worry about coming back.
This year, we've been thrown into a tizzy. We've got 10.
Only half of each year's crew is going (meaning only 2 of the original crew, and 5 of the people from last year) and these new people are... well... strange. Not to generalize, but this year's new troupe consists of a stripper, a straight edge dude, some girl I've never met, and an incredibly awkward girl.
I'm really looking forward to it. Bonnaroo is a great place to meet different people, and get to know those you know even better, and I'm excited that my group is going to be so freaking odd.
This is going to be one of the most strange weekends of my life. I can just feel it.
