how do you not have anything IT related on your poll
Right! Any Internet based community tends to skew heavy with people who work in IT simply because professional IT people use the Internet more than the avg person. <The ladies love our pasty white skin >
I agree, need an IT category.
I am the IT Manager at a small four year liberal arts college.

I am a planner in local government now working in Long Range Transportation Planning.
I am still trying to find what I want to be when I grow up. I've been a laborer, carpenter, interior designer, cubicle cop, neighborhood planner, painter, sound engineer, busboy, cubicle installer.
I like the job that my dad has right now. Retired and gets paid to attend MLB games sitting in the first ten rows. During most of the game, he sits there and gets paid to watch the games.

how did your dad get that job? my dad is retired and is crazy about baseball. he's about to have to go back to work, because he's gone through most of his retirement $$ lately with this credit situation. i'd really like to pass this on to him so he doesn't have to be a poor working guy again!

I'm in grad school and I teach first year composition, but I also do freelance writing for a museum fabrication site. Basically I write the text for museum exhibits. I freaking love it. I get to research my topic, create an outline, submit it to the studio, and then get writing. Best job ever and I want to do it forever.
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...

Sleepyrobin -
He has been working the Rockies games for a few years. He started to earn his "quarters" for Social Security. First couple years he was greeting people as they came in, then he spent a year or so working the private suites-entertaining, he took three seasons off while living in Tanzania.
Have him check with the local MLB team. They typically need reliable workers.
He wasn't too excited about the 'position' at the beginning of the season, but he figures that the people around him may have paid upwards of a hundred dollars for these seats. Doesn't cost him anything - actually getting paid to watch baseball.
I am a regional manager for a retail chain. I travel a lot so I am usually in my hotel room killing time on inforoo at night. White collar all the way.

I'm a squeegee ninja.I make and install large format digital graphics. We make life size cutouts....vehicle wraps...the other day I put graphics on a fondue set...pretty much a steady pay check that allows me to play with art supplies and get creative once in a while.
Oh and I paint and make marionettes in my garage...but rarely do it for $$$
For 4 days out of the year I am a professional goofball/rabblerouser/dancing monkey.
