Funny I haven't seen much on them, here. I saw them a while back and they slay live (no pun intended). I have a feeling they are gonna conflict with several people I wanna see. I hope not.
Probably the Thursday night band that I'm most excited to see, so I won't be missing it. I'm secretly hoping they'll be up against someone like DSO and I can get up close cause everyone will be at the other show...
Great band... and even funnier that Roanoke Times had an article on them (considering they aren't playing nearby-- and I'd know, i currently live in Roanoke!)
I need to check them out - I've never heard them. Not really a big metal fan - but if they're along the lines of Mastodon I may be interested. papernapkin mentioned the Age of Winters album - would y'all agree that's a good place to start?

for metal, theyre not really along the lines of mastodon at all. Age of Winters is the best place to start but they're more like umm...Down, I'd say. Or maybe High on Fire.

When I bought the Age of Winters album a few months back, I asked the record store guy (RamaLama in Toledo) what they were like. He explained that he both loved and hated the band, saying that at times he could listen to them and they were "effin awesome" and other times he'd listen to them and it would sound like "The Darkness covering Black Sabbath."
I disagree, and say that they sound more like old stoner rock, maybe a bit like Queens of the Stone Age, but a bit more drone and sludge. A definite must see for me. I really hope they play on Thursday; less conflicts.
