I was wondering what act that I have never heard of that I should check out and why? Obviously I am going to see PJ, MMJ, JJ, and many of the other more prominent names, but what should I be checking out from noon till four in the afternoon? Thanks for the help.

I saw Ghostland in a small Venue here in DC recently- super high energy great live show, cant wait to see them late night (i assume) at Roo- if they bring their A game its a can't miss. Vampire Weekend should be a fun daytime tent show as well.
Battles, Vampire Weekend, and Ghostland Observatory should all be fantastic shows. I shall try to miss none of those, but make no promises on that one.

For all who like Battles live, GO SEE !!! (CHK CHK CHK). Both bands put on absolute great shows. ALSO, do not miss HOWLIN RAIN. These will be the shows everyone will talk about in next year's threads!

As far as new acts to see:
BACK DOOR SLAM - this will be a serious regret if you do, you will have passed on the opportunity to see a future guitar god in the making.
Howlin' Rain - just some good ol' fashion rock and roll. Don't miss.
Battles - Seriously.
Ghostland Observatory - will be without a doubt one of the weekends highlights, IF it's a latenight, minds will be blown. Great energy, great to dance yo booty off to.
The Sword - if you dig the metal, this is where you should be. But of course, if metal is your thing, you already knew that. Great slabs of meaty riffage will be found here.
