I am pretty low maintance, more of the natural girl when it comes to clothing and make up, however I will be making a trip to get my underarms waxed before hand just so I do gross myself out:) My legs will be shaven since I am so hairy. I will find a way to get that razor and conditioner on my legs daily... I feel better if I shave.. I will go without washing my hair before I go without shaving... it is more for myself than anything... If you get your underarms waxed, you will not have to shave for a month... hurts like H#$L but worth it..

I personally find that using a dipilatory like nair or veet basically sets me up for the festival scene. I'm planning on using something like this the day before we leave, and from past experience I probably won't get hair until...7 or 8 days later. Then again I have very light, fine leg hair, some of you ladies (or dudes) with thicker body hair will probably get hairy sooner. Definitely check it out though, that way you don't have to deal with a razor at Roo!
^^Ouch, burn-y! I'm jealous you can use that stuff. I have sensitive skin and thick hair so the couple times I've tried it resulted in a rash and leftover stubble. Sexy.
Last year I'm pretty sure I shaved with bottled water and soap and it wasn't too tricky but I can't remember. We have a shower tent this year but I will probably still shave sittin' in a camping chair so we don't use up our camp shower water. The grime of Roo does cover up stubble but if yours grows fast & makes you uncomfy like me, I don't think its high maintenance whatsoever to do what keeps you comfy. Boys put Goldbond on their peepees, girls shave
One warning about too much Gold Bond. Too much Gold Bond plus heat and sweat equals concrete on the package. Nasty!

I agree with a couple of others - can't use the stuff - horrible chemical burn like rash occurs
I'm a guy, not planning on shaving my face while there, but I'm one of those unfortunate social lepers with back hair. I usually use this nifty razor extension thingy to shave it a couple times a week but I don't think it's gonna work out for Roo. But I'd like to be able to walk around shirtless without my back looking like it's been up all night drinking cuz it just lost its job. So I'm thinking about trying the waxing route. How much does it hurt? How much does it cost? Will the wax girl make fun of me?
Also, I keep reading about Gold Bond on this site. What the hell is it? I mean I've seen it in the store before, but I always just thought it was like something for old people. Should I be in on this?

Gold Bond is a powder - like baby powder but it has menthol and other stuff in it - from what I read - guys swear by it to stay dry and comfy "down there" - LOL
as for the waxing - I have no idea how much it costs - it only hurts for a second and the girl should not laugh at you at all -

I kinda like the freedom from shaving......however I did buy one of those Intuition razors with the soap around it and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I may shave at roo after all.

If anyone hates to shave their legs its me. I'm so use to have to keep my legs smooth looking since i like wearing skirts to work so am am totally looking forward to 4 days in a row of not shaving them. I will probaby shave my arm pits though. If you need to shave anything I suggest that because it seems to make you stick even more if your pits are hairy.
Don't worry about it too much girls, the music probably doesn't care much if your legs are prickly. But if it makes you feel better to do it go for it!
I plan on shaving the bottom half of the right leg only throughout the fest. The hair on that leg seems to be twice as heavy and the hair on the left leg and makes me feel lopsided during long walks.

I plan on shaving my pitty-pitts just for my comfort only..the legs however? forget it.
I ffeel uber-sweaty with hairy pitts to each his own!
I'm so with you on this one! It seems like deotarant doesn't even work for me anymore once the little arp pit hairs start poking up to the surface, plus it really rubs my sides too if they start getting prickly.
