I found out about it online the first year. I told all my friends but only 6 of us went as a group. On our way there & pulling into that place we knew we were at the beginning of something BIG & almost magical.
Makes me glad I spend too much time online Otherwise I would have missed out on it.
My friend in STL told me about it last year after he got his tickets. Unfortunately I was moving to Michigan (to go to school) a week before Roo and couldn't go along. So I got to hear all the stories about how incredible it was and have been chomping at the bit to get my tickets for this year. I'm looking forward to meeting my STL friends and heading in from there.
1st Roo - won't be my last. Found out from a friend who attended Itchykoo prior to Bonnaroo's appearance in Manchester. Asked if he was going to Bonnnaroo too, said 'nope - too many people'. Can you imagine! That's why I'm going!!! Too many people (and a LOT more music)!

couple good friends went to the first one.. tried to get me to go but didn't cuz was moving into a new home and really doing alot of things to get it set up. you know, being the responsible husband.
but got to go last year and of course, that's why i'm going this year.
This is my first roo. I heard about it at Fall Hookahville from many different people. EVERYONE said I NEED to go. Also, my two best friends talked me into actually going and they heard about it from a friend of theirs. It is all just so exciting!!!

I heard about Bonnaroo last year when the artists were added to Pollstar. I am a member of their autonitify list. You pick 99 artists and/or venues, and they email you whenever there are changes to the schedules. A lot of the artists on my list were playing at Bonnaroo. As soon as I got the first email, I went to the official site and checked it out. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to make plans to go. Not this year though!

This is going to be my 2nd Bonnaroo!!! Last year I didn't think I was going to get off work? Hell, this year I'd quit my job if I had to. Can't wait to see you all there!!!

This is the first for me and my boyfriend. We are both very excited.
I heard about it through the Warehouse (official Dave Matthews Fan Club). I was first planning on going to see Dave, but after seeing the artist line up - there are many other great bands I am excited to see.
My first, but I have purchased tickets every year, just couldn't get away from work. This year I got my tix, got a new job, and got the vacation days already approved! WaHoooooo!
Found out the first year through the widespread panic site.

It was november 2003 chillin' with my friend sean in his dorm. The kid next door said "hey lets watch this bonnaroo 2002 dvd i bought." Soon as Les started playing me and sean decided we were gonna make it to 'roo soon as possible. didnt make it last year because of work but this year i've got my ticket and cant wait!
I originally heard about Bonnaroo from someone who'd watched a DVD of the show. Then I heard the lineup announced on Detroit public radio! From that point on, I knew I would be going, and I bought tickets the day they went on sale. I can't wait!

just replying to the person who heard about bonnaroo on detroit public radio. how great is wdet? martin ban dyke and liz copeland have the greatest radio programs ever.
This is my first one. I live in Knoxville (not too far from Manchester), and I read about it in a tiny blurb in the Metropulse (local, "alternative" newspaper) about upcoming shows. I get more excited everyday!

This is my first!!!! I heard about the first one from The Dead's web site and Pollstar, but I was living in California then (and for the second) and just didn't have the cash to go. But, now that I'm back in my native Alabama, it's just a short trip and a LOOOONG wait away! I can barely contain myself!!! ;D
TEXT It will be my 1st roo!! I am so ready. I had friends who went last year and will be going again this year with me. Good to have some ppl in my grp that are experienced. I'm looking forward to an amazing weekend!
