I don't really want to be negative or anything like that, because this was NOT a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but what the fuck was up with the fountain?? It was only on about half the time. My husband will generally let me drag him to anything I want to see or do at bonnaroo saying "I don't care where we go as long as we can stop by the fountain...is it on the way??" Have they always turned the fountain off in the heat of the afternoon, or was that just this year? Does anyone have the scoop on this? Other than that, it was a great roo and we really did enjoy ourselves!!!

Enjoyed two days of Bonnabliss for my first Roo and then what 8 hours in line to get up front for PJ and then get smooshed against the wall and nearly trampled stumbling on trash cans when everyone rushed the pit line.
Then I enjoyed one of the best shows I have ever seen and one more day of Bonnabliss.

They did have a shuttle. We took it a few times. It was $5 a person and they would pick you up at your pod and take to Centeroo or whereever you wanted to go. It was nice when it was hot out on Thursday.
My friend and I were going to Centeroo early to look around and what-not and she got hassled for a couple of SoyJoy bars and her diabetes meds (which were in one of those weekly medication things). They almost took her pills away from her completely! The girl even hesitated to give it back when we said we'd just take everything back to camp and leave it there. It was not cool. This isn't my first Roo, so I know that the search standards are much higher earlier in the days, especially on Fridays, but that girl was just being a jerk.
festival taxis(golf carts they charge a few bucks to take you wherever you want). like at allgood and langerado. i dont get why roo doesnt do this.
It's sort of a well-kept secret, but they do the fest taxi at Bonnaroo. Any golf-cart you see driving by with a black and yellow checker pattern is a fest taxi, it costs $5. We were camped right next to all the drivers in staff camping.
moving sidewalks comment=ditto The infrequency of the fountain can't be due to water conservation, give the fact that the water was constantly recycled. And that is where my only complaint come in. After a few minutes the water turns to dirt and sweat. Nasty stuff, kept me out due to a gash on my leg. They should at least clorinate it a bit. This is a minor complaint though. Oh yeah, and the "ambassadors" were generally clueless in regards to providing any information. I had a blast though. Much better than I thought. Will be back next year.
Battles. And what was up with the fountain design? I loved the one last year, really trippy and cool. This year their were giant bugs on it and no real creativity I thought. Maybe if you had eaten a buncha corn or something it may have been cool, but I was disappointed.
And something y'all may not have run into, a little girl in a red riding hood like outfit gave me a sucker that had liquid NO NO's on it during Lez Zeppelin Thursday. Woulda been different if I knew beforehand, so that was an unexpected surprise I wasn't really ready for.

Aside from 'Con-Me' West
(Thursday 2pm) When we finally got to the gate, the ticket takers took forever, and it was much more disorganized than the last few years. The security people were running around all kinda disheveled with their supervisors barking orders at them.
Then we get up there and they ran out of programs and itunes cards and maps...and they didn't give us the recycle bags. Blah.
as far as bands go, Fiery Furnaces and Ladytron were a letdown for me. Then again, it's tough for Ladytron to get a dance party going when it's the last day and the set is in the afternoon.
The other thing i disliked was the overdose of pushy teenyboppers.

i really didnt like who they chose for the superjam even though i liked it..i really wish someone like bb king and levon helm woulda shown up and even more...claypools good but gets too much credit

We never took it, but it seems pretty useful!
i think this is the first year that they had it..cuz i dont remember it from the years past very cool

^^^it was the year of the N00b....I was a n00b in 07'...but this year, i saw groups of 13-16 year olds...not a problem with me as long as they dont walk up and ask me if "I'm holding anything"?? lol
But other than that, what i didnt like was;
the lack of headies not making it to the brunch Phil's set getting chopped because of that chode kanye

Complaints:
-Agreed, lack of headies -Not making it to the brunch OR camp inforoo! I had to work my volunteer shift on Friday morning, and I looked and looked for the inforoo flag but couldn't find it -The horrible disorganization that was volunteer check in and staff camping...we got turned away 3 times before we finally got camped! And if any volunteers didn't have answers to your questions...it's because we never got any information. Our "Information" meeting was not very informative, to say the least. -The crappy people in the Fuse tent
For real though, I'm *looking* for stuff to complain about. This may have been my best Roo yet.
