During Sigur Ros all my friends wanted to leave and get in line for Kanye. I wanted to stay. I almost got into an argument over leaving which was a complete buzzkill, and I threw my keys and hit my friend in the head when they were leaving and I just dove back into the crowd and it was a great idea. I still left 15 minutes early, but the songs I stayed for were awesome. Too bad I left for nothing. Fuck Kanye!
Anyways I did record some good videos. Here are all of them.
Svefn-G-Englar
Heysatan
inni mer syngur vitleysingur
Hoppipolla
Unknown song cut short
I have one more but its cut short also. Anyways, Enjoy.

Bummer about your friends man. I only dragged one of the thirteen people I was with to see Sigur Ros with me and he left about halfway through, but that didn't phase me in the least. I love your videos 'cause they're filmed from the same angle I watched the show. Were you near the kids who were sitting down playing with glow toys the whole time per chance?
That Svefn-G-Englar video you posted rideincircles is great and takes me back to that night when I stood in front of the soundboard and had my mind blown. Truly was one of the best shows I will ever hear.
was anyone else right up front, like on the fence up front? do you happen to remember some kid that was out of his mind stumbling up towards the front and dancing to music that didn't exist? he was amazing and said some hilarious things, but i can't recall any of them...

Hey for those of you who enjoyed Sigur Ros or missed them and live in the Boston, MA area, they are coming to the Bank of America Pavilion on Sept. 19 @ 7:30 pm. Tix are $25/$35, definitely affordable if your like me and MISSED most of their concert.
i was towards the front for the beginning... but i had to go towards the back and get in the fetal position after the first half of the set so i could sit by myself and absorb the music. i missed out on tix to the NY show last friday when they went on sale so I bought a pair to the show in Montreal... hopefully I can find some to NY tho and sell my Monty tix so I dont have to drive 10 hours to Canada.
But if thats what it takes to see Sigur again then I will do it. Especially if they perform Ara Batur with the full orchestra/choir.
The Montreal show should be amazing, I just bought my tickets. It's being held on the Jaques Cartier Pier which is where I saw Bjork last summer and is an incedible outdoor venue right on the river in the centre of the old city aka Vieux Montreal. 10 hours is a long drive but it will certainly be worth it to see Sigar Ros. Plus Montreal is a fantastic city to explore, no other city like it in North America
Each year at Bonnaroo, there is one show that winds up being one of my favorite shows ever. In '06, it was Radiohead. '07 was The Flaming Lips. '08? Sigur Ros. One of the most amazing shows I have ever seen period.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
This year's Bonnaroo was very strong on great, instant favorite concerts; all Plant and Krauss, Levon Helm, Metallica, Sigur Ros, and Pearl Jam were among the best shows I've ever seen.
I was completely in a different mindset at this show than most others (this and the shows following it like Ghostland, Kweli, Lesh) that year, and I was basically in just awe... it was one of those shows that everyone of my friends went to, we were all together, just having a good time and enjoying a once in a lifetime performance of one of the best, most unique bands out there.
Fantastic memory, right there.
But at that set up of having favorite shows of each year:
