I dont know which Kanye set mostve you saw, but the one that I saw was fantastic.
Now MMJ's set was pretty good, from the hour that I saw but I wouldnt put it up there with the greatest sets of the weekend.
i don't think you can really judge mmj's show if you only stuck around for a quarter of it, especially when you're praising a guy who, all delaying aside, attempted to put on the same canned and rehearsed show that he has performed at every major US city on his tour. even if everything had gone according to plan i think kanye loses points for not doing something special and different at bonnaroo that only people who were there would remember.

I'm honestly shocked that anyone would have considered Kanye's set "good". As someone mentioned in another thread, the show was glorified karaoke, performed (very poorly) over terrible remixes of his songs. His set-up was lackluster at best, I was not impressed by his visuals at all. The man cannot rap or MC whatsoever, not to mention some of his bizarre dancing. It was literally the worst musical performance I've ever seen, and that includes Grammy performances.

I waited for Kanye just to see if someone would pelt him when he finally did make it on stage. I'll admit that i got excited when he came out to "Good Morning" I thought it made sense considering that it was early morning. But quickly his set went from badass to just downright corny to me. He never interacted or addressed the crowd. The skits were just so laughable. Stupid convos between kanye and that supercomputer Jane or whoever she was. The visuals did not blow me away at all. Oh wow a picture of an explosion on a screen. Thats insane. It was all just a joke. I stayed through "diamonds" and then made my way back to camp. Waste of time...I could have been watching other great performances instead of waiting for kanye.

I'm betting he'll be fine. He was fine and on time last time he was at Lolla. His sound just sucked. But I guarantee that if nothing else the guests at Lolla will make it better. It usually isnt quite dark yet when the headliners go on. And the Glow in the Dark set is impractical. Though they got the pyramid up for Daft Punk last year.
