I admit I hopped under the mushroom from time to time to cool down and catch a glimpse of some wet tee's but I wasnt about to pay 7 bucks for a shower so i just stayed nasty and made it 6 days without washing myself, after a 18 hour drive back home i literally ran to the bathroom when i got home for one
I showered Tuesday night before we left for Roo. I didn't shower until Monday morning before the trip back home - so six days. We were in VIP so I could've showered whenever, but seeing all the bands and hanging at camp with awesome people was more important to me.
We said we'd be showering several times a day in VIP, but we ended up taking only three, including one on Monday morning before we hopped in the car for the long drive home. TickTrix is right...hanging at our camp with such great people was way more important. Personal hygiene is overrated!!!
I didn't shower the whole time! Baby wipes were enough to keep me feeling fresh. I also jumped under the fountain a few times, but seriously, I didn't feel that disgusting. Not having a mirror really helped, I think, since I didn't know how bad I looked.
^^haha, yeah it did. Once I got home and looked in the mirror, my first thoughts were "wow, I'm dirty as hell", "my hair is a complete mess", and "geez, I got a nice tan this weekend".
I didn't shower the whole weekend (Wednesday night ---> Monday night), although I had planned to. The mushroom fountain and the misting tents were good enough for me. The way I figured, I was just going to get dirty again within half an hour.
I haven't gone that long without showering since I did Outward Bound nearly 10 years ago.
I took an intense shower before getting on the road Wednesday night. I washed my face and used baby wipes a couple times but no shower at all after that... On the drive home Monday we were both so dirty we was slimy from the filth... We stopped at a random motel and "borrowed" their pool for about 10 minutes... best idea EVER!
There were these two old guys who figured out what we were doing and gave us big smiles and waved goodbye when we drove off...
I didn't really shower per se. Just did the whole wipe down at the trough with a wash rag. It took that outer layer of film off me and made me feel semi less smelly. Plus I washed my hair. Now that was the important one.
I really didn't care though. I probably could've rolled the whole time without a shower although not washing my hair would've driven me nuts.
We brought a shower tent but I only took a "shower" once because our solar shower bag was a piece of crap. But I used gallon jugs of water, soap, shampoo, etc to get nice and clean a couple times in the shower tent and it felt GREAT.
No showers here, unless you count the rain friday night.

I recommend the Wet Ones "Outdoors" version...
Big, thick, antibacterial, and a hell of a lot more sturdy. They might be a couple bucks more, but they're more than worth it. Seriously, like a washcloth!
The only baths I received were when I got caught out in the rain!! Otherwise my first shower was late Monday afternoon, and I'm quite proud of that fact!! ;D
**EDIT** And ironically enough, this post was my 500th, which officially makes me a "Mudbather"!!!

I chose not to bother myself with washing. I only wet my hair because it was gettign on my nerves. Other than that I stuck with the dirt on me. Or rather it stuck on me
took my last shower on wednesday morning before heading out, and then once again when i returned home after my 17ish hr drive...i got in the fountain once on sunday, and used aloe wipes to cool off the rest of the weekend

We showered Wed. night and not again until Monday AM. We washed off with rinseless soap & a cup of water, and washed our hair so we wouldn't look like wooks. We got home at 6:15 AM, and by 6:30 I was in the whirlpool tub with water as hot as I could stand it. Best bath ever!
Didn't shower at all. Baby wipes and a very cold wash cloth from cooler for my face did the trick. My hair was the only thing that bothered me it felt like straw. Took two times in the shower when I got home to get any lather from the shampoo.
Yeah i didnt shower, just baby wiped it up in the mornings and usually ran through the fountain at night. If i was ever feeling dirty the franzia and corn usually made me forget about it
If I was in VIP theres no way I couldve made it 6 days, glad you chose fun over cleanlyness though... thats what really matters in the end
NO...NO you people have it wrong.fresh and clean=more fun.
everyone should shower at least once a day.
the favors are more enjoyable,you smell better,you fell better,and youll get MORE hugs and LESS strange looks and awkward glances.
even if you cant afford a shower tent for your camp,there is no reason you cant atleast stop off once a day by one of the numerous shower troughs and hittin that ass with a bar of soap.its just too easy.
